Pleasantly surprised to find such a well curated collection of used books here... and at great prices!
Also enjoyed discovering some rarities and old publications that the owner was kind enough to talk to us about. A very nice man. Thanks!

Definitely worth the visit if you are a fellow bibliophile.
(And hopefully next time we get to meet the blind dog. It was his day off.)

Great book selection and very good prices. There was fiction, history, sports, children's and many other varieties. We will be back again.

I love perusing used book stores because of the treasures that can be found. And this bookstore did not disappoint. Books in all genres and we even discovered a map from the 1600s we purchased showing the Italian ancestral towns of my husband. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, this bookstore is a gem not to be missed.

What a wonderful addition to Chappaqua! One of my favorite things to do is browse in used bookstores and now we have a charming one in the neighborhood. It was a pleasure to meet Richard. He's has done a beautiful job updating and renovating the light-filled space. I spent at least an hour on my first visit and I found a set of vintage modern architecture books to take home. Looking forward to many future visits for holiday shopping and gifts.

I visit friends in Chappaqua a few times a year, and I always stop in to Blind Dog to find my next couple books. Not only does the shop have an excellent selection of history, biography, fiction/classics, & niche interest, but there is also a expansive collection of art books, maps & pictures, and other curiosities. Over the last year I have purchased a couple of fascinating out-of-print books.

Additionally, Richard is very helpful. If you are looking for something specific he will be able to find it quickly. On my most recent visit he presented several hardback editions of a Dickens novel I wanted to purchase as a gift for my wife. I will be going back!

The shop owner was extremely pleasant to deal with. He was nice and respectful and a delightful conversationalist. And his books were impressive! He has a good amount of signed books and collector's editions like Franklin Library and Easton Press editions. If you are a book lover, and especially if you are a collector, this is one stop you must make!

What a gem! I wandered in to Blind Dog Books with no other intention other that checking out a new business in town. I was greeted by Richard, the owner, a delightful and knowledgeable gentlemen who immediately ascertained my interests and excitedly brought out some volumes for my review.. Long story short , I found 2 books for myself and 3 selections which I will save for family holiday gifts!

Saturday afternoon, I dropped in to this new, cozy shop on King Street -- just sorta curious. As a former teacher, I was pleasantly surprised by the range of books on display, not all just rare books, but some children's books, books on baseball, some books of essays, and so on. All presented in a casual manner. The walls are studded with a variety of posters and pictures of interest as well -- art, rock-n-roll ads, etc. I learned that the shop owner is also a former teacher who obviously enjoys showing off his collection. Well worth the hour or so that I browsed!

Beautiful store with a great variety of books, organized and clean! There are a few cozy corners to sit in (my boys loved previewing some of the books we came home with!). The owner is incredibly helpful, able to share lots of great info. about rare books, authors and even Chappaqua. Looking forward to going back soon and supporting this great independent book store!

A new favorite spot of mine in Westchester! There aren’t many used book stores in the area, and this one is truly fantastic. So many gems and options for everyone. The owner is so kind and helpful. I will be coming often!

A wonderful gem in a beautiful part of NY. It has a very curated selection of rare and signed books, and the owner is simply a pleasure to speak with. Blind Dog is definitely worth the visit if and when you're in Chappaqua.

I had a great time at Blind Dog Books, I went by with my sister and we both ended up with some great books! The owner was very kind as well and talked to me about the author I was interested in as well. Will definitely be back in the future.

Wonderful bookstore and amazingly welcoming owner!
Visiting from Paris, I never thought I'd find a bookstore as great as the ones from home. Amazing selection of books. I highly recommend it, it's worth flying over the Atlantic!

This was one of my most joyful bookstore finds. Westchester has very few used bookstores, so it’s great to come across one that has a wonderful selection in great condition and that is run by someone who really knows his craft. The eponymous dog is also a real treat.

Saw Blind Dog’s open sign while passing through town and made my husband drive us back so we could drop in. Secondhand bookshops are hit or miss for me - they’re either a wasteland for people’s throwaway books (I know I know, one man’s treasure...) OR they have every book that I’ve ever coveted on every subject I’ve ever been remotely interested in. A truly wonderful collection! I kid you not we went to the register with three volumes, I added a fourth right as the (lovely) shopkeeper rang us up, and skid to a stop before mournfully putting back a title that had just caught my eye as we were about to exit. Well I guess we’ll have to come back.

My wife and I stopped in Saturday during Chappaqua's Big Book Day and our visit was a highlight. A great store -- our little Strand in the village (lower-case V). Richard Pandich was very helpful and knew all. We bought a couple of things and will be back regularly. It's just the kind of store that the town should have -- and now, finally, has. And there's a real blind dog! (Have Richard tell the tale.)

Really wonderful place. Everywhere you look there's another gem.
Richard really helped me out today. I left with just what I was looking for and a wishlist for next time. I'm so glad I walked in.
Will definitely be back!
Thanks so much!
