What a great sewing shop. Large selection. Fresh and clean store. Great little place in Penn yan for your sewing needs!

Favorite Fabric/Quilt Shop. Always helpful and inspirational.

I am always amazed at the selection of fabrics - and at such great prices. While they cater to the Mennonite tradition of beautiful, small prints in their garment fabrics their quilt fabrics are as varied as any good shop I have been in. They carry all the major manufacturers. The owner always has a smile, is eager to help, and makes you feel like you are in an extension of her home. If the shop is not busy she may even ask if it is okay for one of the "young ones" to help you so that she can learn. How great is that! While the shop takes a bit of seeking - on a main road, but little signage - it is well worth the trip. Oh, no credit cards but will gladly take a check.

I highly reommend Golden Lane Fabrics! Ada is great, friendly and always has a beautiful quilt on her frame. Great prices for name brand fabric. A lot of fabric in a small space. I always leavr with more than I came for. Heads up, they don't take credit cards but, do take checks and cash.

Very friendly. Excellent selection of fabric, some notions such as rulers, thread, zippers, and needles. Great place! Love to go there. Staff is definitely willing to help with any questions.

Lots of beautiful cotton fabrics, and buttons and embroidery floss, yes quilting supplies and other notions. While it was not JoAnnFabrics, the attendant was helpful directing me to the elastic yardage I sought. I found what I needed to complete my projects.
Just down the road from the Windmill Market

The most clean and organized fabric store I have ever entered. They carry a very large amount of quality cottons and other fabrics. I loved all the Moda fabrics, and they had many Moda fabrics. I am sorry the store is 2 hours from my home, but my husband is probably glad it is. The woman in the store, a Mennonite, was knowledgeable and helpful. They also carry a large quantity of pre-cuts in quality fabrics (Moda and others) as well, more so than any other store in the Finger Lakes/Rochester area. I can't wait to go back!

Great shop. Lots of beautiful cotton fabric. Very friendly and helpful. Prices were much lower than the shops in Virginia! Recommend.

Shopping at Golden Lane is always a happy experience. My eyes dance looking at all of the beautiful prints! Ada, the owner, has become a joy to visit and a friend I cherish. She will even make items for you by request, bind and/or stitch your quilt, and does hems and repairs. If you need quilting supplies or suggestions for projects, Ada is the one to come to.

Was here for the first time in a long time and 1st time since she expanded. I believe it is now my favorite fabric store!

So glad I found this place today :-) the store was super clean and very well organized. The people who were working there, which seemed to be a mother and her daughter, were super nice and pleasant.
