Went for the first time today & it did not disappoint! Amazing atmosphere, customer service, and food. Will for sure be back<3

We have been there multiple times and brought our car club there and it has always been good. Very nice people and very accommodating, I would love to go sometime when they have live music.

When i walked through the doors the place felt so homely. Dave and Angie were very kind and welcoming to me. I was there around 3pm so i wasn’t able to catch a live show but that’s okay! I had the BLT and it was delicious! I was there for a meeting with my mentor so we were there for a bit but they always came around to check up on us. It’s good to know everyone is welcomed with such humble hospitality. Thank you for a great experience i look forward to trying something new next time!

Checked out Plain Folk Cafe after church this morning, for breakfast, in Pleasant Plain. This is an awesome roadside diner in an old schoolhouse from 1913. A quaint place with delicious food, and amazing homemade jam to go with the delicious biscuits. I had the Hippy Hash and hubby had Smothered Southern Stack; both were delicious. Prices are great ($), & they treat you like family. Live Folk Music on Friday & Saturday.

I love the theme of the place! My father, younger brother and husband are all musicians. So I loved the music memorabilia. The overhead radio was playing good bluegrass/folk music. I was working so I asked for a quick and easy grilled cheese. It was four cheeses and so delicious! The menu says five but I didn't want the pepper jack cheese on mine. It came with kettle chips and a side. I got bbq chips and baked beans. They were so good! I will stop there any time I'm in that area!

Live music Thursday, Friday and Saturdays year round. Hear the opening act on the outside deck from 6-7:30 in the summer. Then the featured band begins on the indoor stage at 7:30. Or stay outside in summer and watch featured band on TV screen and enjoy the sunset!
My friend got the BLT sandwich. It looked like a pound of bacon was on there! We each had a different meal and all of it was good. The chicken and beef are cooked low and slow so entrees are moist and tender. They offer wraps, paninis, quesadilla, salads, soups, chili, sandwiches and desserts. Also known for their grilled cheese sandwiches, 16 varities! Budget friendly.
The owners are welcoming and started the restaurant 6.5 years ago. Breakfast is served Saturday and Sunday from 8-11:30 offering homemade jams and jellies.

Excellent place for get togethers with a hometown feel, exceptional staff and service, live music and very inexpensive prices with no cover charge. Open seating and free parking.

Did not eat but food smelled and looked good. My hubby and I sat outside and had drinks and listened to the band. Cheap drinks. Super nice staff. Nice outside area and super cool vibe inside.

So cool that it's an old school. Loved the VW bus in front! Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was prompt, and very friendly for our first time.

What a great spot for breakfast. We rode our motorcycle here for breakfast and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The staff was welcoming and the food was great. I had the Hippie Hash. I highly recommend it. We will be back for lunch.

Such a gem in the country. Very relaxing atmosphere. Staff is superbly customer friendly. I recommend this place hands down.

Cute place to get brunch! I wish they had a few more vegetarian or vegan options, but the school house was very cute!

What a friendly place to eat - and reasonably priced. We have been there for breakfast (loved the Hippie Hash) and lunch - lots of great grilled cheese sandwiches. Only thing we have missed is the live music and we look to catch some great Bluegrass music later this spring.

Best kept secret in the Midwest - unbelievable talent visits this hidden gem several times a year on a Wednesday night. Don't miss the chance to see artists that regularly book multi-ten thousand seat arenas perform in this intimate venue.

This place is rockin! Amazing bands, home-cooked meals, and friendly, welcoming staff. What more can you ask for???? Go there.
