Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve, North Trailhead

Large nature preserve with four different trailheads not including Robinson Falls (permit required).Each section seems to have it's own distinct characteristics that makes for a fun but sometimes challenging hike. The preserve is outside of what might be considered the Hocking Hills Region but still a very scenic area.

A great place to go hiking near Columbus. It's about an hour drive. It gives you a good workout that is not too strenuous even though there are a lot of up and down hills. The day I went the weather was absolutely perfect. I only saw three other people who were in a single group so it was quite peaceful. The markings on the trails exceed expectations. I only walked about half of it so I'm looking forward to walking the other half soon. I imagine when the leaves are out it will be even more interesting.

Wonderful nature preserve. Well marked and well maintained trails. Beautiful mature forests, deep ravines, lots of caves. The only drawback is no dogs. But definitely worth the drive down. The hiking was challenging but not impossible.

Beautiful hike with an amazing assortment of Fungi, plants, flowers, and tress. There are a few smalls hills up and down but nothing extreme. GPS took us right to the parking area, but be mindful cell service is almost nonexistent out that way.

This nature preserve was beautiful. My group & I attended their wildflower hike on April 27th and it was very informative and it was nice to learn a little before we took our longer hike. There are a good amount of trails and plenty to see and do. If you do not want the hustle & bustle of Hocking Hills State Park, this is the place for you.

Well maintained and marked trails. Very nice views. The west entrance was closed so we used the north instead. There is a lot of up and down, and I would call it moderate. The ponds were very pretty!

Been by here a hundred times so I finally stopped in today. Great walking trails and very scenic. Well worth your time if you enjoy walking

Beautiful trail and landscape. Even in winter, there were people on the trail. Trails marked well and offer varying sites and options. A great day trip!

Short hike to the falls, never crowded, beautiful and untouched land. The falls look small from the trail but when you get up close, they are impressive and stunning. It looks like something you'd find in New Zeland. Area requires a permit so plan ahead prior to your trip.

Great trails was disappointing that the main trail head was closed but hiked from the other two areas.

Very beautiful trail, mostly gravel path all the way to the pond at the end of the trail. I highly recommend this for people looking for less foot traffic and a peaceful/quiet walk!

Hidden gem, I don't think I can review for the average person, if you are looking to be in nature and enjoy the sounds of it, the quiet; its glorious. I recommend a 'no phone' trip; avoid distraction because it's a place yo soak up nature, recharge, and never forget to be responsible for you trash/footprint 👣. The care takers if this space do an amazing job, thank you for that, it was glorious and I look forward to going back for a longer trek.

Pack smart and light, remember to bring water and check the weather, bring appropriate footwear, and stick to the path 😀
