Outstanding experience! The service was top-notch, and the food was simply amazing. With plenty of vegan options, my girlfriend and I enjoyed every bite of the 4 veggie combo. Generous portions at reasonable prices make this place a must-visit. Edit: visited again with friends and split both the appetizers and the big platter portion. More than enough food, again amazing service, and VERY delicious

We had the Zoma Special Combo and man was it great! The chickpea stew was my favorite! You can't go wrong with a side of ginger beer too! Was seated as soon as we arrived. This place gives you the feeling of a small, quaint nook while eating on a patio. We loved the aesthetics! Can't wait to come again!!

Our first time getting Ethiopian food in Cleveland and it did not disappoint. Service was quick and friendly and the food was so good! The tibs coming out on a sizzling skillet was a nice little flare. Really good portion sizes for a reasonable price and our leftovers warmed up great the next day!

Amazing food! We first came here about six years ago and for some reason hadn't been back until today. What a mistake! We’ve been missing out. Excellent vegetarian options, especially the tofu dish. The food is so flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend the honey wine if that’s your thing. We’ll make to sure to be back more than once every six years!

The food is excellent. I likes everything I had very much. Can’t recommend the beef stew enough. Friendly service and reasonable prices too - about $20 each but could be less if you got a sharing platter. We all took home enough for another meal. Will be returning soon. Loved the experience.

I had never had Ethiopian food before and I don't think I could have had a better first experience. The service was fast and thoughtful. The special combo was excellent because it let us try so many different things. I would love to come back!

This is the best Ethiopian food I've ever had! We got the Zoma Combo and the chicken and rice, and sambosa. Nice variety of dishes, love the veggies. The meat dishes were well seasoned.

My family and I dined at Zoma for the first time for my birthday dinner. Unfamiliar with Ethiopian cuisine, we were not sure what to expect, but we were blown away by every single dish we tried. The temperature of the food, the textures, the spice combos, everything was just perfect.

Even my picky family members were amazed at the quality of the dishes. I recommend trying one of the combo platters as you get plenty of injera bread and a portion of several dishes.

Our favorites included the beef tibs, cabbage, lentils, greens, and especially the Tima Tim appetizer. I will be back as soon as I can and am already craving another bite! Don’t forget to end with deliciously rich Ethiopian coffee.

Can’t recommend this place enough!

Zoma Ethiopian Restaurant is a wonderful place. The atmosphere changes as soon as you walk in. I would compare it to visiting a friend's home and feeling the warmth of their effort in making it feel like it's your home, too.

The food is delightful not only in flavor but in presentation. It's immediately apparent the cook(s) are putting their heart into the food, and ensuring you have the best experience. I ordered the Tofu Tibs and Sambosa with veggies. It was delicious and I highly recommend both!

I have tried many varieties of tofu and have to say Zoma's flavor profile is my new #1 favorite. It's not just the spices but the finer-sliced texture and ratio of ingredients. I also cook tofu more than anything else so this accomplishment is one I really admire and respect. Zoma, you've opened my mind to new possibilities, and I will learn what I can from this to enhance future tofu recipes. Thank you!

I'm grateful for Zoma's presence here in Cleveland and their passion for sumptuous food. I'll surely be back and encourage others to dine here as well!

The food here is incredible. This was my first time eating Ethiopian food. Really interesting not having silverware, but it was a great experience. The coffee is really unique and has spices in it. Highly reccomend.

I’m not entirely sure exactly what we ate at Zoma, so I’d just recommend that you get the combo plate to share because it’s all amazing!!! And don’t be afraid to ask for extra injera!

Super surprising, yummy hole in the wall. One of my few experiences having Ethiopian food and it was a great experience. I split the platter among friends and enjoyed tasting the different flavors of Ethiopia. The host and waiters were incredibly nice to us. Very good experience.

January 2024: My husband and I had been yearning for good Ethiopian food for a while. It had been years, since our favorite restaurant in Washington, DC closed. So when we were in Cleveland and looking for a place to eat we found Zoma via a Google search.

Ethiopian in Cleveland? Why not. And boy are we glad we visited Zoma! We shared a vegetarian pick 4 and the food was outstanding - fresh and perfectly spiced. We savored every bite. The service was lovely too. We had wine with dinner which increased our bill significantly. If you choose just the food, you can have a super-filling meal for 2 for under $20.

If you're unfamiliar with Ethiopian cuisine, it is made up of small portions of your choosing (veg or meat or a combo) served atop a large pancake called injera which is made from fermented tef and barley flours. You eat with your hands by tearing pieces of injera to pick up the food. It is a romantic and communal experience that's a ton of fun. The food isn't spicy as in hot, but it is well-seasoned and so flavorful. And Zoma does this very well. The only thing I wish they did was offer bowls and towels to clean your hands before eating (as they did in our DC spot).

Cleveleand, you have a treasure in Zoma. We hope you embrace this family run business and visit often. Yum!!!

Zoma exceeded our expectations. The menu looked delicious when we were trying to find a place to eat as a family, but what we got when we actually got there was so much more. It's such a cozy atmosphere inside, and the staff were unbelievably nice and attentive. We ordered a beautiful, colorful meat and veggie combo to share. We brought a toddler who likes a bit of spice, but the heat of most of the dishes was too much. Our waiter didn't even wait for us to ask if there were other foods without spice, and showed up at our table with a bowl of rice and vegetables that were gobbled up quickly. Each of the veggie and meat options was flavorful on the injera, and the tea and coffee were perfect complements to the meal. We will absolutely be back many more times.
