If you miss the painted glyphs, then you are not looking hard enough or just aren't looking. Little to no rock scrambling required. Just follow the looped path into the cave and stop towards the back. Sit, wait, slow down, and let your eyes adjust. They are on the edges of the crest as well as further up the walls of the caves. Just remember to be and enjoy the silence. No pictures out of respect for ancestors passed and future.

Viewable markings. Slightly challenging steps down but worth it.The trail goes to both Symbol Bridge and Big Painted Caves. The way down into Big Painted is almost hazardous and we could only locate one hieroglyphic. I would only go to Symbol Bridge again.

Pictogrqph Point in this park is the place to see pictographs. Symbol bridge has very few, faded one that you would miss during a casual walkthrough. Otherwise it is just a lava tube you could see in Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah Washington, or Montana. Go to pictograph point instead

Didn’t see any of the petroglyphs because I was to busy paying attention to the rock scrambling I had to do and ended up just getting annoyed by it. Honestly not worth the trouble and effort. This is not a lava tube or really even a cave, it’s a cave in that left 2 giant holes on either side with some land left in place between them you go under and come up the other side.
