This is a cool location along a canyon and with two large old trees 🌳 by the well built stone or rock chimney. This appears to have been a log 🪵 cabin as you can still see a few of the logs as walls on a good rock foundation. We saw several wild mustangs. Nice location to hike past.

Cool little spot with a geocache in it. 4 wheel drive may be necessary right now.

This is the site of William Henry "Whiskey Bill" Goodburn's cabin, built sometime in the early 1900s. Parking has been partially blocked along Canyon Way for this site and nearby Long Valley Creek. Lots of truck traffic during the week, so it's a little quieter on weekends.

Just to clarify some other comments, this site is not along Long Valley Creek. That's the larger stream that you cross over a few hundred yards down Canyon Way from where this dirt road begins. Long Valley creek wraps around the east side of the Washington Hill (the mine). This site is along the old Washington Toll Road (aka old SR 45, aka a few other things) which runs from Canyon Way up towards Virginia City, eventually connecting with Lousetown Rd.
