American Iron Gym

all photos are with me in it because i took them from my IG page to make this post😬this was my first gym in reno and i loved it! i like how big the space is with its many rooms. a whole section for legs, powerlifting and two main areas. i didn’t go during peak hours and with that, i’m glad to never have waited for any equipment. the vibe always felt good to me, feels good when we’re all minding our business, getting gains together independently. i appreciated all options for cardio. only non aesthetic part were the locker rooms. if that had love put to it, it would make being in there more welcoming and energetic! all staff were wonderful to associate with. lost my shoes there and received it when i came back 4 days later. also points for no contracts. absolutely loved that as i’m from canada🌟 wishing y’all success!

The best gym I have ever had a membership too! Everything is clean, maintained, front desk employees are on top of their stuff! I love that the owners are there regularly and keeping an eye on things. I really appreciate the effort they put into their business. I also appreciate the other members and how respectful and kindhearted they are

Incredible gym! Very unique, this is definitely the place to come if you want to get strong.
The staff is cool, and the members were super helpful too.
The manager showed me some of the equipment during his workout. I am from out of town, but will def be back to get a pump anytime I’m in the area.

This gym is absolutely amazing. It has almost everything you want or need whether it be powerlifting, strongman, CrossFit, bodybuilding or general health. The amount of knowledge in this place is overwhelming and all you have to do is ask. They have multiple coaches and services with a range of experience. One of the few places putting your weights back is a requirement and not just an option. I am lucky I get to come here and regret not being a member years ago.

Expansive gym, Loaded full of great equipment from cardio to all the weight you can move. The awesome staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and experienced. From general fitness to competition training, they've got you covered. Wi-Fi is available and be sure to check out the Pre-Workout, protein and other snacks at the front desk.

This place is the best, they have a strongman training room, powerlifting trainin room, , free weights, machines, and a few (around 3-4 each) treadmills, stair steppers and elliptical machines etc...(If you want an environment like planet fitness DON'T GO HERE! ). Heavy lifters and people serious about bodybuilding abound here and I love hearing the sounds of them training! Yes, large heavy weights clank against the floor...men, women etc. alike growl out their energy to get in those massive lifts and hit their goals...the staff is absolutely amazing, the gym is always in good order, they make sure the members put away their weights (unlike those other prissy foo foo gyms that are always cluttered with free weights and rude snooty people). They treat you like family, we are a family. The American Iron Family!

Worked out here for a month while I was traveling for work, was bombed at the end because I don't live here because this is an amazing gym. I'm heavily on to the powerlifting side of things and they have a full setup as well as strongman equipment and regular bodybuilding. It's rare to see a gym that caters to all three populations, much less one that does it so well.

Amazing gym, extremely well equipped and open to all types of fitness (powerlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit, cardio) with a great team! Employees are very helpful, and the overall vibe of the gym is very positive and open to new clients. I was a huge fan of the space they had available, allowing anything from handstand walks to lunges to power cleans to stretching to occur even during the busiest of times. Expand to more cities please!!

I rave about this gym to anyone I meet. Every individual here wants to see and help one another succeed. Not only is the atmosphere friendly, but the owners constantly upgrade the equipment and even ask the members what they would like to try next. The staff works hard to organize events and competitions in a safe environment that encourage the members of American Iron to get outside of their own comfort zone. They have many professionals in the building regularly including a strength coach, bodybuilding coach, powerlifting coach, strongman coach, massage therapist, stretch therapist, chiropractor, and nutritionist.

This is the greatest gym I have ever been to and I have nothing but love and positivity towards it! The equipment is top notch, they have plenty of weights, and the atmosphere is amazing and will set you up to push yourself to success. They play awesome music to fuel sensational workouts. The people are what really make this place. Everyone is so supportive and cool, and athletes of every level train there. I moved states but every time I come back to visit this place is a must stop. I miss going here every day so if you have the opportunity to train here then do it!

I just joined and had my first workout. The reviews are correct. This is the best gym in Reno and also the best gym I’ve ever been to. I have 50 extra pounds of covid weight and I can barely do push-ups, but I feel right at home even though most other patrons are high-level athletes. There is no doubt I will reach my goals here because I enjoy coming.

Best gym ever. Best staff. Real vibe. All the equipment you could ever need to hit every muscle from every angle. Clean, good music. For people who want to achieve results.

I was looking for a new gym and by looking at the website, I had high expectations. As soon as I walked in, I was confident and felt a little nervous. The person at the front desk was incredibly nice and walked us through on how to become a member. he gave us a tour and I was completely blown away by how much they had to offer and how motivating it was. This is by far the best gym I have ever been too and I absolutely love it!

I have a tivity health/silver sneakers gym membership because I travel a lot. American Iron Gym accepts this membership. I do all forms of physical fitness and health hacking. This gym not only meets all my needs for physical fitness, but it has whole rooms dedicated to different forms of Fitness whether it be calisthenics, lifting, workout, aerobics, turf... I have enjoyed working out here. Thank you!

10/10 gym. From knowledgeable & friendly staff to easy going members. This place has the most equipment I’ve seen out of the 15-20 gyms I’ve visited

Absolutely loved it. I was in Reno for business and needed to bang iron. I thought I'd try this gym out. After working with the extremely friendly and kind front desk person, a poster of big Lou Ferigno welcomed me to the locker room. This was my place.

The gym has multiple rooms tailored to various strength disciplines. Power lifters, weightlifters, bodybuilders, and strongmen can all get a good workout in here. Many benches, racks, deadlift platforms, and barbells. They also have a deep selection of rare equipment like standing hack squat, belt squat machine, seated cantilever leg press, deadlift machine, donkey leg press, Viking press machine, logs, etc. They also have a cardio room with multiple stair mills and treadmills.

When I die, I hope this is what my afterlife looks like.

This is hands down, one of the best lifting gyms I've ever seen across the country. Amazing amounts of great equipment, clean, organized, lots of space, and people with great positive attitudes within. Great job to the owners and management team!! It's truly an example to the country as to what a real lifting gym should be.

Very good Gym! Love the atmosphere and free weight selection! They have everything for every workout you're intending to do. Definitely coming back!!! Possibly joining the membership as well...

Sherman the front desk guy couldn't have been any nicer. I felt right at home my first workout! This gym has amazing equipment for every level of fitness, and showers so you van clean up and head straight to work. The members were also very friendly and outgoing. I can't wait till my next visit.

Awesome gym. Imagine this: people are serious about working out not playing on their phones and everyone puts the equipment back where it goes. I'm so thankful to find an iron gym in my travels. I highly recommend this gym.
