This was definitely a nice hotel and you can tell it’s been fixed up. The bed was comfortable and it was just very pleasant staying here.
The cafe is also a nice place to eat after being out and hiking.

Wonderful little lodge at the east end of GNP. The staff was lovely and the restaurant was delicious. We stayed in one of the motel rooms which was clean and cozy. Our room had 2 double beds, both very comfortable, but it would be very crowded for more than 2 people to stay. Easy walk to the Going to the Sun Road shuttle stop and easy drive to St. Mary’s. No Wi-Fi or cell service, limited wifi in the reception area but I think that’s part of the greatness of the park…disconnecting :)

Actually, you won’t have too many choices if you decide to stay inside Glacier NP. But if you don’t want to waste time on the road, then lodges inside the park are ideal.

I would say though it’s a motel, it’s really cozy, neat, clean and has everything you need. wifi is only available at the main building where the lobby and the restaurant (Two Dog Flats) located. The food served there is out of my expectation. Do try Mountain BBQ which comes w/ huckleberry (a local berry in MT and ID) pork, beef brisket and chicken. The local trout is also good but usually out stock.

If you plan to explore Logan Pass area (15 minutes drive) or St. Mary area, this is an ideal place. Very good location and view. You might encounter a red fox named Ann at night😃

These cabins are so cute and while it’s not the nicest place ever, there is just something about it that seems special and cozy. The wifi doesn’t reach any of the cabins, so you have to walk/drive the few hundred yards back to the registration office to have any signal. That part was annoying but not annoying enough that I wouldn’t stay here again!

The Rising Sun Motor Inn had the cutest, quaint cabins that still have a nostalgic feel. Staying inside Glacier National Park was definitely the way to go because we were able to enjoy the park before visitors arrived and because we arrived in mid-June we never had a problem finding a place to park. The restaurant onsite was nice and the service was very good. The staff team was really friendly. The general store had great selections and sandwiches and some of the best beer I've ever tasted. :)
If you need wifi, don't stay inside the park. if you need a TV, don't stay here as they don't have TVs in the rooms. These cabins are an ideal location to escape the rat race and reconnect with nature and people you care about.

Cute and cozy cabins in the mountains. I enjoyed the views from my window. We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time in the national park. The cabins are walking distance from the shuttle bus stop. It was convenient for us to explore going to the sun road hikes without having to drive.

I am not really sure why this is rated a two star hotel. We did a cross country trip and this was one of my favorite places we stayed. The cabin was SO cute and perfect for two people.

I enjoyed my stay together with a hiking friend from my chapter of the Sierra Club over in California. We really enjoyed this stay and were treated with kindness and care. The room was clean and tidy. The restaurant was delicious (Two-dog Flat). Give the Two Sister's Cafe a try for some delicious cooking too The sights and wildlife were epic. A friendly warm environment and community in the wilderness. Easy access to the shuttle service and popular points throughout GNP. I would return again and am recommending this lodging.

The cabin looks like it came out of the 40’s but the beds are nice and great wind flow to keep the room cooler. It was also very quiet.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and larger than I had anticipated. The bathroom is a bit snug, but they provide amenities to save on space. The beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows. The restaurant on site is good as well as the general store. Everyone is really nice and accommodating. We had no issues at all during our stay. You can't beat the location and access to recreation. Go for a drive to/from St. Mary early in the morning or evening and you are sure to see bears. Highly recommend!!!

A friend recommended this as one of the better restaurants in or around the park. He was correct. It was excellent. I ordered the trout with rice pilaf and vegetables. The trout was cooked to perfection and was just what I needed after a couple shorter hikes. Plus, the dining room has a great view of the park!

This was our fifth year at rising sun. As always rooms are very clean. The restaurant is closed and there is no service in the rooms, but the office has towels, coffee and pretty much anything you might need. All staff are friendly, polite and helpful. The park seemed a little less crowded than normal due to the ticketing system. However when leaving the park Monday morning Logan pass parking lot was already full at 7:00. Lots of people on highline. All of the restaurants in saint Mary and Babb are open.

I took my wife and two teenage boys to stay in the rustic cabins for 5 days. The cabins provided exactly what we needed, which was a shower, bath room and, two beds. The rustic cabins are exactly that: rustic. But that is not an insulting adjective. We spent sunup to sundown hiking so we didn't need anything fancy we just needed a place to crash each night. The cleaning crew that showed up every day worked very hard and did a fantastic job. The neighbors were quiet at the appropriate times. And last but certainly not least: the views of the mountains were breathtaking

The beds were comfortable although only double beds, not queen. The view was spectacular. The staff at check-in were friendly. Unlike most of the other properties, the lobby was lacking (only place to access Internet) - only 3 chairs by the door. It's strange that what would be a lobby at other properties in the park is a store even though there is a much larger store on the other side of the parking lot.

Nice updated clean comply, quiet room. We stayed in #20 room had a desk, queen bed, extra pillows, blankets & a fan, iron & iron board. Space to hang cloths & drawers in end tables & bench for storage. Heater worked great & black out curtains. All Bathroom necessities ( body soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer) ( shower, sink, toilet)

Beautiful location.

The cabins are quite rustic in a charming way, although they seem to have been renovated recently

The beds are smaller than queen size and the bathrooms are tiny.

There is a convenience store and also a restaurant nearby

Definitely recommended

Being near the west entrance of the glacier national park, this is a very good place to spend the night. As their is a restaurant, you don't need to worry about the meals. The food tasyes really good. Although it's a bit pricey, but the taste and presentation is worth it.

I've never stayed here but I ate at the restaurant. I had a lamb burger which I have never had before but it was fantastic. the way it was cooked and everything on it was perfection. I had just rode my bike for 30 miles before eating so I could have been swayed by how hungry I was.

Great place to stay in Glacier National Park. The lodge building has a great view and very good food. Good service, too. Our room was fun, with retro decorations (and plenty of outlets).

Great location! We go a room with private bathroom. It was very nice, newly renovated. The two dog restaurant was wonderful. Great service and food. Price was reasonable. Go there early.
