This little cafe is just north of the turn off for Going-to-the-Sun road in the St Mary’s entrance for Glacier NP.
A little unassuming and just the kind of place you need coming off a long day exploring or sitting in the car. Just a pull-off from US Hwy 89 heading north. We stopped because we saw the “world’s best pie” sign but stayed for the burgers. We didn’t even know about the burgers until we went inside and smelled them. Mmmmmm
We ordered inside but chose to sit outside at one of the picnic tables in the fresh air. The interior has tables and seating but they were occupied and the cooking smell (delicious but..) kinda hangs around.
We ordered burgers, fries some blackberry pie and a shake. It took about 30 minutes but don’t ever let that stop you. Good food takes time.
The burgers- suffice it to say we soaked into them as soon as they were un wrapped. I almost forgot to get the pic, they were so good-looking.
There is a brioche bun, lightly toasted filled with maybe a 1/3 lb hefty meat patty which is layered between fresh, crunchy romaine lettuce and big slices of tomatoes. Also pickles. The meat was juicy and tasty with an excellent mouth feel. The tomatoes added a layer of sweet and the crunch was from the fresh lettuce.
I usually like to put fried on top of my burger but I didn’t have to with this one.
It was enough in itself. A very, very good burger.
Fries were good too, nothing over the top. Fresh and crisp on outside with good potato flavor.
The milkshake was house made and on the sweet side for me but hey- it’s a shake.
The blackberry pie looked very vey appetizing but after the burger there was no room for it. We ate it later that evening at a campsite. The crust was a little older by then but the filling retained that summery, blackberry taste and wasn’t overly sweet. It went down super well with a coffee. I do recommend ordering.

The place had a wheelchair ramp and clean bathrooms in the back building.
I recommend a stop here if you’re on the East side of Glacier NP.

Decent lunch spot outside the park with standard American ballpark food. Had a veggie burger on the menu. Pricey but not many options nearby. Nice people.

Both the food and the service were excellent. The number one burger in the St. Mary’s area. The pie is the best I’ve had in years.

Convenient for those who came from the Glacier NP, this place is very close to St. Mary. It has a very cute and classic design interior, very cool looking diner.

Had my first bison burger here and can definitely say, I now love bison burgers. The grilled cheese and onion rings were delicious as well! The staff were incredibly friendly and the wifi access was a great bonus! Absolutely would recommend stopping here for a nice, fresh, warm meal for a break from camping and hiking!

Stopped by during our trip to Glacier because we were getting fussy & needed a hot meal before going camping. Picked this place on a whim & it was a great choice! The staff is so welcoming & friendly - they gave us recommendations and we even bonded over a shared favorite band. Strawberry Rhubarb pie was amazing!! Love it!!! Cute little diner vibe inside, too.

This place is awesome! We stopped with our family (7 year old daughter and twin boys aged 4). We got burgers (including a buffalo burger, Chicken strips, fries, onion rings, a vanilla shake and a few slices of pie.

The burgers we great, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The kids devoured the chickens strips (starving after a day of driving). The real star though was the pie. Oh my goodness the pie. The chocolate and banana cream were DELICIOUS. Amazing graham cracker crust. So so good.

J-Deeanne served us and was so sweet. I could not have asked for a better experience. This little cafe is definitely worth the stop and we WILL be coming back. Trust me, stop here if you want great, friendly service and a full tummy!

We drove through the small town of St Mary’s and when we saw the Cafe’s parking lot full we knew we’d found the right spot. I had the chicken sandwich basket with barbecue sauce on the side. After I tasted the first bite, I knew I was not going to ruin it by putting the sauce on it. It was a great lunch for our after hike experience. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I met the cashier on a nature walk and she told me how good the food was and she didn't disappoint! Fantastic food and drinks; huckleberry milkshakes are delicious! Definitely a whole in the wall, but those are always the best places for good food. Definitely check this place out!

Store and Cafe is owned and operated individually. The owner, Keith, is Blackfeet native American and very nice and friendly. He does the best job he can to operate a gas station, convenience store, and cafe. This is not owned by the big corporations in the area. It is an independently owned store. The owner, as well as his employees, are very nice and friendly. The prices are going to be higher than your regular metropolitan area because of where you're at, and he is only able to remain open for 5 months out of the year because of the weather. The coffee is always hot, fresh, and cheap. The food at his cafe is superb. He has a large selection of Blackfeet and GNP merchandise available in his store also. His prices are very reasonable compared to the mega companies in the area. Support small businesses and a real native American owner company. Stop for some gas or diesel and step inside and say hi and buy a pop or some snacks.

I had some pancakes and pie here and it was good. Nice local breakfast/lunch place to stop by after or before your fun adventures. Well worth the stop to have some local food.

This place is small and isn't always open, which is understandable since it's a small group running the place. But the food is great. Cheeseburger, Buffalo Burger, Fries, Pie, all delicious. But the Huckleberry Shake, THAT is the crown jewel over there. I'm from California, and I came to this Cafe every single day I was here just to get that shake. That is the item I would recommend to anyone who comes here, that is a 10/10 for me. They are all really nice too, super easy to start a conversation with and always willing to hear your story. Can't wait to come back in the future.

The restaurant has exceptionally friendly servers and a very quaint atmosphere. The fries have a wonderful flavor and texture and they have quality specialty drinks. The breading on the fish and chips was very good, but my fish was a tad mushy.

While the food is on the expensive side relative to other places in the state, relative to places in the immediate area it falls somewhere on the moderate to the inexpensive side.

Park Cafe was a convenient stop for a great burger, onion rings and pie after a couple miles of hiking Glacier National Park. All of the food tasted amazing and hit the spot! I would recommend adding this classic diner to your itinerary.

I have been here 2 days in a row - their bacon cheeseburgers are to DIE for, the huckleberry lemonade *chef kisses*. Their chocolate shake is a must. I didn’t get a chance to try their pies but I have no doubt they are amazing. Will def be returning the next time I venture to Glacier NP.

Great little cafe just outside the St. Mary entrance to Glacier NP. The service is great, our food was hot and delicious, and I would definitely eat here again. Can't wait to sample one of their seven or so kinds of homemade pie.Try the huckleberry lemonade. You won't be sorry!

This cafe was a great place to stop, absolutely adorable place with a patio, hot food, and very kind service. We ordered the chicken sandwiches and they came out quickly. The buffalo sauce was even actually spicy!
