I visited the St. Mary Visitors Center in Glacier National Park and it was absolutely fantastic! First off, their gift shop is a gem, and what's even better is that they have bear spray available. Safety is essential, and this shows they care. We asked a ranger to show us how to use the bear spray, and she was more than happy to help, making us feel confident for our hikes.

The amount of information available is mind-blowing, and the rangers behind the desk were friendly and ready to assist, even though there was a line due to the center being so popular. On top of that, the bathroom facilities were great – always a plus when you're out in nature.

And speaking of nature, the fact that this place is a shuttle stop is a game-changer for hikers like us. We hopped on the shuttle, which made it super convenient to explore the park. If you're planning to visit Glacier National Park, make sure to stop by the St. Mary Visitors Center – it's a five-star experience all the way!

Saint Mary visitor center is one of the biggest in glacier National park. The places is very beautiful. The displays are quite something. They also have a show that you can catch about the park’s history. The rangers are super nice. Both my son and daughter got their junior ranger badges from here. It is a must visit. It is on one end of the going to the sun road. The other end is apgar and in the middle there’s the Logan pass visitor center.

Decent visitor center with little gift shop, auditorium that plays some shows at 30 minute interval and decent information on park and all. They do have some night shows as well but check on calendar. We attended star glazing show that ran from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Many restaurants to try right outside visitor center road and national park board if you are into photos.

Glacier National park is just absolutely gorgeous. This is from the east side. We didn’t get as many pictures as we wanted because we wanted to get up to the top to watch the sunset, but would highly recommend to drive through the Going to the Sun road one way, then turning around and going the other way. It is so beautiful!!

Visitor center had a number of informative displays, maps, and info about the area. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially about trail status and recommendations. Clean public bathrooms. Parking was tight in the morning, but we did find a spot.

No matter if you are beginning or ending your trip in Glacier National Park over the Going To The Sun Road this is a must stop! The little store is card only and carries a limited number of items but the museum section is incredible with interactive features that make it fun for everyone! Bathrooms were clean and very well maintained!

Nice place. Stopped here after visiting Two Medicine Natl park to get gas, eat, stretch, and pick up souvenir coffee ☕ mug. Beautiful stream and view of mountain 🏔 while enjoying my lunch in parking lot.

Its so very beautiful up in this area. Unforunatly the weather was bad and it rained. This time of the year only part of the Road is open so you can drive into the Park but only to the 1st Lodge. Still worth the drive if you are in the area.

If only visiting Glacier National Park from the east side, then this will be your main information stop on the park. Also, to get your jr range books.

There is a small gift shop there with some cool shirts, hats and books about the park.

This is the best place in Glacier National Park to start your journey! There are some great rangers with a wealth of knowledge to pass along! It is a busy place sometimes, but the quality of information that you can gather here is out of this world! Oh, the stuff you can learn!

This visitor center is much better than the one located in Apgar. There is a video with several Native Americans describing the relevance of the area to their culture and information on the history of the national park. Like all the visitor centers there are plenty of friendly park rangers to ask any questions. They are very helpful at explaining drive and hike times as well as recommendations based on difficulty levels.

Each visitor center at this park has a different passport stamp so if you're collecting those then you will want to stop here. There are restrooms and water refill stations available which I recommend using before heading into the park.

During the summer all of the visitor centers can get very crowded. We were able to find parking but the parking lot was mostly full. Recommend visiting early in the morning before the crowds start.
