Cottonwood Park along the Truckee River bend is a beautiful place to enjoy fresh air and sunshine right within the Reno-Sparks area. To enjoy the sight and sound of Canada Geese, Mallards, Egrets, and Herons. And sometimes various other little critters, squirrels, and beavers, and even a solitary native mink...

We were there volunteering to pick up trash from the river bed and stray rubber ducks from the race. The Sparks park department was awesome and helped us with all that we gathered, including in old Lime bike. They keep the park very clean. There’s grassy area and a couple of covered picnic tables. The bike path runs through it, and it is quite busy on any given day.

This is a very nice place to get in the water if only there weren't so many people living at the park it would feel a lot safer

Got stuck here with a dead battery and no gas for two days it was lovely we weren't in any real danger as it's right in town. There wasn't too many people and the river was just perfect. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite park to go swimming at. This park is always very clean, the grounds are well kept, and the bathrooms are always clean and well stocked even on the busiest days.

Have been here multiple times, for something surrounded by industry, it is gorgeous. Cool water and long Beach, it has a nice park next to it. Recommend to take the family out for a fiesta.

Great park to bring your dog. Bathrooms and water fountain are closed during the winter, but it is right next to a great walking path along the Truckee River.
