Bloedorn Lumber-Laramie

During the summer of 2022 I hired A+ Remodeling and Construction, a Saratoga, WY contractor, to install James Hardie Aged Pewter color siding on my home. A+ ordered the James Harding siding, battens, trim boards, caulk, touch paint and other supplies from Bloedorn Lumber, Laramie. Because James Hardie did not produce battens and trim boards in Aged Pewter color, Bloedorn Lumber contracted a 3rd party to paint the battens and trim boards Aged Pewter color.
The results were totally unsatisfactory. There were issues with some materials and installation. The primary issue was A+ Remodeling and Construction’s incorrect application of the Aged Pewter caulk as specified on the product tube. After approximately 30 days the caulk turn white. The battens, trim boards a touch up paint was not of same color as the James Hardie siding.
James Hardie warranty would not take responsibility for supplier painted battens and trim boards. James Hardie advised the only way to correct these problems was to prime and paint the entire house. A+ Remodeling and Construction would not take any responsibility for its improper installation of the caulk and other materials.
I am extremely pleased to report that Bloedorn Lumber accepted full responsibility for correcting these problems. Bloedorn Lumber paid for a contract painter to paint the house and supplied the primer, paint and all paint supplies required by the painter. Bloedorn Lumber paid to repair A+ Remodeling and Construction’s improper installations of materials and caulk. It is rare to find a building materials supplier that would go to such lengths to make it right for the customer!

I had needed some planks for a bed frame and had no idea where to start or what to ask for. I was immediately helped and the kind gentlemen who worked there assisted me in making a plan of what I needed. I totally appreciated everyone and their service. While I don’t need building materials all that often, if I ever need hardware or wood I’ll definitely be coming back!

Three days in a row, I have had nothing but great service. First, John and Tom helped me with my ridiculous cuts. Then Chad did when I came back for more wood. Then Robbie dropped what he was doing to cut some MORE boards for me for free that I had changed my mind about the night before after it had already been cut once. Amazing, knowledgeable service. I don't feel like they pushed too hard to upsell either. They're straightforward and quick which is exactly what you want in this kind of business.

Amazing. This store has the kindest, most helpful employees in Laramie. I cannot thank them enough for how easy they make shopping there.

The young lady who helped me was awesome! I've been there a number of times and she's always so helpful and pleasant! One time I was looking for a small amount of tar paper and she GAVE me some she had at home! Amazing!

My daughter and I went into the Bloedorn store in Laramie, WY looking for some lumber to build a retaining wall. The gentleman that helped us was great! He showed us several different options and then recommended which one he would use. We went with the railroad ties. He then went outside with us and went through most of the RR ties finding us the best of what they had and set them aside for delivery. When the RR ties were delivered I asked the 2 young men if they could put them close to where we were going to be needing them. They took them off the truck and put them in place for us! I was shocked!!! Bloedorn is a great company and obviously hires wonderful employees! Hands down better than any of the others around!

I don't know where to start with these heroes... Seriously. I could not be any more thankful for the whole team that works at Bloedorn. I have never been turned away, refused help, or given any problems here at all. In fact, just the opposite. These guys have always handled myself with the absolute utmost respect and I could never express it enough how much it means to some of us that get to use them every day in so many ways, and the service never changes. A HUGE personal thank you to John, Wes, Chad, Willy, Tanner, Dan, and every other hard working hero in Laramie's Bloedorn Lumber!! I hope you all get the chance to read this, thank you so very much, for all that you do!

A great place to get your materials and tools. Their oak plywood has a very thick oak veneer layer compared to chain store oak plywood with paper thin oak veneer. Staff is very helpful. Store is well stocked and carries high quality items.

I'm a regular here at this store and have found that they have efficient, courteous, and very knowledgeable staff if you need something to fix something this is one of the best places to find it in Laramie and if you can't find it here they will point you in the right direction, they're that good.

Jeff the manager was such a treat to work with. Very personable and a true gentleman. Highly recommend and will absolutely go back for any future needs.

It's more than a lumber company and it beats the big box stores by having a staff who actually know something about the products they sell. Customer service lives and breathes in this place!
