UNFI Allentown Distribution Center - Dry

Caution, if you address is 4240, that will lead you to a small business . Look for the big Unfi sign on the right about 3-4 blocks before that address. If you do go to far, the street dead ends but room to turn around. Our appointment time was for 1000 hours, arrived at 0930 hours. Present D.L. to 1st guard shack then proceed to 2nd guard shack on the right. Staff were nice but said they only unload after 3200 hours tonight. Plenty of room to maneuver and back into docks! Manager came out and said they could unload us now! Brand new facility, very nice, had us unloaded immediately! Have plenty of parking if you have to wait here!

This place is great! Got here at 22:30 for a midnight appointment. They to me in early and gave me a dock 30 minutes before my appointment. Done in 90 minutes. Paid capstone on line.so only had to get out for my paperwork and doing the chalks. They will give you a resting paper to put in your windshield and let you sleep over night. A lot of receivers could learn from this place.

They stay pretty close to your appointment time. Very busy facility but still a lot of room to maneuver. Be patient. Once docked it has been around two hours or less to get unloaded. Though, when I have arrived early I usually end up waiting to be unloaded closer to my appointment. Bathrooms inside. Room to overnight before your appointment in the staging line. Staff is pretty good. Capstone lumpers. Clean facility/yard. I can’t say anything bad about them. Remember to be polite and respectful.

I had a delivery here appt time 2100, got to premises 1545, and got door at 2030. Check in at guardshack then they have a staging area further down lot on the right hand side. My receiving was dry so from the staging area go to stop sign, make a left and proceed all to second building on the left. Receiving office sticks out and the door is furthest on right. Take door, seal in the back. Took about 1 hr to unload, bols ready immediately and capstone sent lumper fee within 5 min of empty. Gentleman comes to truck with all instructions. After getting bols, ask for rest pass to place in window and night night. Hope this helps

UNFI is an amazing place to work. The culture is like something I have never experienced before. Everyone greets you with open arms from the moment you walk through the door.
The facility is breathtaking & the amenities they offer to their associates are one of a kind.
I would recommend UNFI to anyone looking for a new career.

I understand how things can go with deliveries sometimes. It can be hectic.

Today was our first time coming here and we had a 9pm appt. We arrived at 8:20pm and were told they go by first come first served.

Shortly after 9 we were given a dock, unloaded within half an hour and then received paperwork by 11pm.

They even let us park overnight. I know this won't be everyone's experience and it all depends on the day but I'm still new out here on the road and this was a good enough experience for me.

My 2nd time here , appointment for 1am , get door 9 pm and 9:30pm empty, now I see how long going to be for the lumper ? Hope not so long

I'm still here at 0420 in the a.m. after checking in last night at 2033 for a 2330 a.m. appointment, which means that over two hours ago they started paying me to SLEEP!...lol

I think the team here in Allentown is one of the best team’s I’ve ever worked with. They care about the Associates and work towards keeping them here. I would highly recommend UNFI as a place to work at.

Nice place to deliver to! Busy so unloading was quick but it took over an hour to get the call to come get your paperwork! Lot of room to dock! 53’ friendly and overnight sleeping is welcome but you must ask so they know how many truck spots they have left to let you know if is room and which lot to park in! Restrooms and vending machines on site!!!

Honestly - this place is totally amazing. I don’t know why is there so many negative reviews, maybe I got lucky but there is other stuff that waiting time…
So I got there at 10.30 pm for 1 am appointment, checked in with guard, they told me to wait at staging area until they will call me. Received a call around 12.30 am, they told me to come (I believe) door 126 where their office. Gave paperwork, got door right away, at 1 am was at the door and they start unloading right away. Around 1.45 am they called me and said that I can come to pick up my paperwork.
Facility new, nice and clean, stuff is nice and helpful, they also have overnight parking at staging area, even going to give you sign “resting” so nobody will bother you.
Very easy to find this place because there is lit signs like a mile before facility. Just follow your goggle maps.

Signs indicating where the warehouse is, that’s awesome, the first sign is 1,5mile from the warehouse. My GPS brought me straight to the warehouse, but I appreciate the signs on the road. They let you use the bathroom and a must in this area, they let you park overnight, they give you a paper to put on the windshield “resting” so nobody knocks on your door.
I got there 11pm they finished unloading 4am. Yeah I waited a little for a door, unloading was fast though. A little confusion when I went to get my paperwork, mistake on their side… but honestly, these days allowing us to use the restroom and letting us park overnight is a big plus… Delivery is from 10pm to 4am the last appt is at 2am.

I arrived 2 hours early, and was empty by the appointment time. The beautiful lady from receiving told me that I can stay and rest on their property. I love this place. Just PERFECT.

First time delivering at UNFI. I was just informed by a nice employee the process goes like this: Once you're unloaded, pay your lumper fees with Capstone, the product goes through a breakdown process meaning Capstone employees are unraveling the products off the pallets and individually sorting them to be received by UNFI employees. There's an entire process that goes on thus creating the additional wait time to receive your BOL. I hope this helps with understanding why it takes so long to receive a notification advising that your BOL is ready for pickup.

My experience with this place was great. 12:30am appointment got door about 11:30pm and quickly got offloaded and they let me to park and sleep and they gave me a sheet written RESTING it was amazing thank you UNFI for support and respect the drivers.

I mean this was my first time here. Appt at 9pm. Arrived at 5. Got checked in and called by 845. Unloaded by 1030. Allowed to park overnight. I guess if you get them fresh when they start their shift you’re golden

These people were fantastic! I was having truck issues, and needed to go to a shop to get a forced regen. They went ahead and unloaded me 2 DAYS EARLY! They called me into a dock door about an hour after I got there, and had me empty and rolling about 4 hours after that. They were very polite and friendly, too!

Honestly I was nervous because of the reviews, however. My experience was different. Got here at 20:00 for a 0:01 appointment. Guard lady was nice, got my info and checked seal and directed me to staging area to wait for a phone call from receiving office to get a door, they called me before nine pm and was given door right way. Lumper was $185 for 21 pallets and was done with paperwork in my hands by 1:00 am
They also allowed me to stay in their staging area after to sleep overnight.

I read the reviews before I arrived and they were not good. until I arrived at 04:00 p.m., APPT 9:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m. they called me at the door and once I was parked they began to unload me, already at 9:35 p.m. it was empty, waiting to pay the Lumper and the best they have overnight park !! Great! could be called lucky
