Carissa is the best! I have heavy, straight, hair. The strands are fine, but I have a lot of it. Carissa always takes her time, makes me feel welcome, and does a great job. Even though I don't 'do' much with my hair, she always makes me feel welcomed to be there and gives me tips/recommendations if I ever want to change things up.

I have only been to Carissa a couple times, as I just started going to college at UW. I was nervous to go to a new hair stylist however she does a great job at achieving natural looks. I have naturally really dark hair and I wanted highlights. She made my hair look beautiful. I love the demission my hair has now! Great service, clean station, and very friendly customer service! I cannot wait to go back! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new stylist while at college!

I have been going to see Carissa for about four years now. She is amazing!! She not only gives amazing cuts and colors, but she’s also really great at suggesting touches that work with my face shape and hair texture. Not to mention the value - I have been to stylists and paid four times the amount for about half of the quality that Carissa provides. I would recommend this salon to anybody who has just moved to town and is looking for a new stylist. Carissa is the best!

Carissa is an awesome stylist! I decided to get bangs (quarantine decision, I know) and shake up my overall style. Carissa guarantees her work for seven days, and so I was able to try out the bangs for a couple of days, and then come back in and get them trimmed up. She is flexible, attentive, affordable, personable, and is all about listening to the customer and "achieving your hair goals"!

A cute salon with two, professional and fun stylists. My stylist, Paige, took her time making sure the cut was perfect and exactly what I needed. The final, full color transformation was beautiful! She was ready to dive right in with the ideas I had been sending her the week prior to my appointment. With her superior talent for cutting and styling hair, and her recommended products, I am now able to love and take care of my hair properly. You will not find a better hair cut at a more affordable and realistic price in Laramie, Wyoming. Paige and Carissa are experienced and passionate stylists who will give you the hair cut and color you want. Don't bother with any other salon in town. Five stars.

I've been going to Carissa for several years. She has given me wonderful, soft perms, highlights, and great cuts. She also carries high quality hair products that keep my hair in good condition. I can book appointments on my phone, and I appreciate the text reminders too.

Carissa is such a wonderful woman; her skills are top notch! Above & Beyond is the best salon in Laramie, hands down. I'm super particular about my hair, especially in covid after not getting it cut for so long, and she was so accommodating and kind. My haircut was so beautiful and the conditioning treatment was the best thing ever! She also offers Olaplex which is an amazing haircare brand! I will be making this salon my usual place now.

Carissa listens, is attentive, knowledgeable, and delivers. I haven't been to a place with such transparency and understanding of hair. It has been a pleasure to visit her at Above & Beyond Hair Design. This salon is always clean and professional. You walk in and the staff has the best vibe. So knowledgeable and always does a perfect job. Almost like they know what I want better than I know! I'm a customer for life I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone other than Carissa!

EDITED TO UPDATE: I've been religiously returning to Paige for almost 3 years (I don't think I've even cheated on her once) and she's maintained the health of my hair just as well as my boyfriend maintains my truck. I've gone from my natural dirty blonde/light brown to platinum to every color in the rainbow, even shaved the bottom half of my head and grew it back out in this time, and am working on going back to natural. And my hair isn't dead or frizzy or breaking. She is diligent in helping people walk out feeling good about how they look, from lashes to hair to letting you decompress. Now if we could just drink some wine or beer while she's pampering me...

Finding Paige at Above and Beyond and asking her to fix my hair was easily one of my better life choices. After moving to Laramie, I came up against multiple stylists that had zero creativity, minimal initiative, and were so hyper-sensitive to my request that they do whatever they wanted - even when I reasoned that I could always grow it out or change it again - that I grew increasingly frustrated with the over-cautiousness of it all. Finally, I was randomly introduced to Paige and over the last 9+ months she's been making magic on my head. She's inspiring, she's artistic, she's not afraid to try anything new, and she's so reliable when it comes to knowing what will look good, what we can try, and what we should probably avoid that I would trust her with anything. I greatly appreciate her positive attitude and the fun, relaxing atmosphere she fosters, and I genuinely dread the day I might not have access to her mad skills.

Paige is hands down the best hair dresser I have had in a long time, and I have serious hair trust issues. She never fails to make me feel beautiful, and you can see how passionate she is about her work! Whenever I have an appointment coming up it’s hard for me to focus, because I’m so excited! Additionally, she works with my crazy work schedule and never complains. I love her!

Carissa is awesome! She's so easy to talk to, and really knows what she's doing with your hair. She is willing to go above and beyond for you, which I love!
