Ashland Theatre

What a wonderful venue!! They have really brought this place bavk to life! I've seen two concerts here and it is a very intimate venue, not a bad seat in the house! Sound is great, booze is flowing, seats are comfortable, and dancing in the isles was fun!! Saw a movie at Christmas and enjoyed that, too! Just wish they had butter for the popcorn 🤣

I went to the Ashland Theater for the very first time last night to see It's A Wonderful Life and I was very impressed. It is a marvelous place to see a movie. It has the perfect mix of old school movie theater with modern amenities. The place was spotless and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend the Ashland Theater.

One of the best small theatres in the region. People come from all over the RVA community to watch first premier and exclusive runs of hit movies. They have live performers and more. This past Christmas season, I was outside of the theatre as a volunteer. I was with a friend, and we were greeting people who were coming to see Santa. The visit was free for everyone and so were pictures... Professionally done and digitally captured.

As we were greeting, a couple was walking with a child with special needs. They seemed to really want to go inside, but hesitated. Eventually, they took the chance and went in. They were so thrilled! The way the Ashland Theatre presents Santa is unlike anywhere else. Their child got to see Santa, when in other situations it may not have gone so well.

This place was great. The sound quality was excellent, and theater was very clean. Very home town feel. Seats are a little narrow compared to modern day theater's but that's how they used to be. Highly recommend this place.

Very cool small theater with bar stools and bistro tables in the back if you get there early. Nice stage for music. Open mic night was fun with local talent. Refreshments are great and alcohol is available.

Came to see some live bluegrass by Ralph Stanley 2 and the clinch mountain boys. Had a great time in this very clean venue in the heart of Ashland. Staff was extremely friendly. Clean restrooms. Food was a little higher than I was expecting, but I didn't mind paying for the good experience I had. We will definitely be coming back.

A great way to see movies and support an amazing local business and iconic location! My wife & I saw The Princess Bride this past Wednesday evening and are see Captain Marvel this Sunday morning! The staff are courteous & professional. You can tell they care and are here to ensure you have a great movie experience! We’ll definitely be back!

It's nice to go to a theater where the staff actually care about their work, the theater and the patron. My 9 year old grandson was delighted over the restroom signs. After attending a movie recently that was somewhat emotional, the staff were handing out tissues as you exited the theater. Nice touch. The snack bars are nice as well.

Wonderful theater!! Saw Rocky Horror Picture Show and it was amazing!

We attended a Mario Kart competition here where the kids (and older entrants) got to play on the big screen, which was quite a treat. The folks were friendly and put on a great event. They also have all the normal concessions you'd expect a theatre to have, but they also carry some nice craft local beers and a plethora of seasoning salts and flavorings for the popcorn. We will be back again.

We enjoyed a great performance by Balsam Range in this beautiful historic theater.

Excellent little theater in a great town. It is also close enough to the train station to take a train to catch a show and even take the kids to the tracks and watch the trains pass by.

Held my son’s 7th birthday celebration with a magician at the theater. The manager was incredibly responsive when responding to emails and communicated directly with both me and the performer to make sure the needs were met for the show. Staff were friendly and welcoming on the day of the event and made it a smooth and memorable experience for all who attended. Thank you!

Really nice pretty theater!! They have the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in my entire life!! Great tasting popcorn and friendly staff !! Thank you for a pleasant experience for our night out at the movies !!!
