Newly renovated and reimagined while keeping the to the original Cross Bros feel. Tons of fancy local fare tempered with affordable grocery staples and fresh meats. It's almost a hybrid between a local farmer's market/butcher shop and a beloved conventional deli. Full disclosure: my farm sells meat products to this establishment and we are so proud to be partnering with Cross Bros! Kudos to the new management!

A great experience! The people were so nice! And wearing masks!! And they had some real cool finds and gems in their store. It was clean and well organized. I got some fresh Atlantic salmon and I have to say it was the best darn salmon I've had in years!!! Worth the hour trip just to get more! Thank you for a great experience.

I never give reviews, but this is the best local spot in the Richmond area. Locally grown, more affordable prices than any store in the RVA, and organic! Wasn't a huge fan of Ashland until I walked in their store. Really hope they prospur and grow to give more people access to local, high quality, and affordable products.

Excellent selection of meats, wonderful unique delicious items. Aisles of homemade jams, jellies,salsa, Nice coffee variety. Candies, homemade cards. Worth every trip you will make and I know it will be many.Sandwiches, hot soup drop by for lunch. Wonderful cheerful service makes you look forward to returning.Fresh Produce and frozen case holding , bacon, sausages and all sorts of goodies. Such a wonderful place to get great quality meat. All beef is 100% grass fed from a local farm, pork and chicken are both pasture raised. It is meat that you can feel good about, as you know they have been treated humanely. It is also at a very fair price. Additionally, all of the staff members are extremely helpful and friendly. I will absolutely be back!

If you haven't tried the ice cream sandwiches, start there. (Repeat after me...key lime pie flavor). This is truly a local gem. They are always friendly and the meat here is top notch. I can't wait until they open up the event space next door. Great things to come!

Great local spot! I tell everyone they should get their meat here, but I finally tried a bbq sandwich today - off the charts delish! Customer service is great. Chris and team were very kind to help me recently fix a slight issue. Anyway, definitely check them out - awesome meats and fine groceries!

AMAZING Old Time Store full of Local Goodies and Fresh Butcher selections! The Olive Oil is to DIE For! I will DEFINITELY Be going Back over and Over!

Today I had the bacon, turkey, ham and cheese sandwich is sooooo good! The staff is extremely friendly, professional and make you feel right at home. Simply the best place on South Railroad Ave and beyond!

Great, fresh seafood comes in on Thursdays. Their meats are outstanding. A great, local market. They also now have specialty oils and vinegars.

Amazing customer service along with farm fresh meats, produce and locally made goods. A much-needed enhancement to downtown Ashland (the owners as well as the goods!), and we're looking forward to supporting this fabulous venture.

I'm enjoying Saturday AM bike rides here to pick up heirloom tomatoes and goat cheese. Had a coffee and a biscuit today, as well.

Very helpful staff. I went in looking for a European style cut that is uncommon in the States. The butcher brought out a large piece and then custom cut it for my recipe. Worked out wonderfully.

Great local butcher shop. They always have a great selection of locally raised meats. I've had the best ground beef and bacon of my life from AMC.

Fantastic spot, an oasis in a food desert. Grass fed, farm direct, yes please. Fair prices too. Where have you been all my life. It was love at first sight.

Amazing little gourmet grocery shop with incredible fresh local meat. It is hard to cook with meat from anywhere else now that we found this. Also, nice little coffee shop/event space next door.

The ham salad sandwich, rosemary potato chips, was great. The personnel were friendly and helpful with a terrific assortment of fresh meats, breads, jams, etc.
