Spring House Dining

Found this gem of a place while we were camping at Paradise Lake Campground. The food is delicious. The service is top notch. It’s family owned & managed. It feels so homey and welcoming, just like grandma’s house! It’s the perfect place for gatherings, as they have private rooms. We will definitely be back! Thank you Spring House staff for your hospitality and amazing food!

Food, Service and atmosphere were AMAZING!! Haven't been since I was a kid( now 44)!!

Delicious buffet meal of three entrées, five sides, biscuits, beverage, and two deserts, great ambiance, great service and help with planning for our 45th High School Reunion. The Spring House staff was amazing. If there was a detail we needed assistance with, they worked patiently to provide the accommodations. The guest loved having the option of being inside with the music for dancing or on the deck for conversation. No regrets having Spring House host our reunion. Thank you, Rick, Sheila, and staff for a great evening.

My server was friendly and the owner or front house manager was friendly. I was being checked o throughout my meal. The food was tasty and fresh. I don't know how they keep the food so hot while it is at my table but it was. I kept eating and the food kept hot.

For 20 years this little gem has been just 30 minutes from me. So glad I found it and will be returning again and again!! It will be a regular place for my family to eat at. The Spring House has a very welcoming atmosphere and was very clean. The staff were very friendly, and the owner came around to make sure everything was ok. You won't leave here hungry. The Spring House provides a buffet right at your table. The food was wonderful, fresh and hot. Choose your entrees, pick 5 sides and they bring the food right to your table in serving bowls just like Sunday dinner at Grandma's. They kept the food coming to your table as much as you wanted. My family didn't find a thing we didn't like. Make sure to save room for desert! Homemade peach cobbler with ice cream on top if ya like, eclair cake and hot fudge sundaes. The homemade biscuits was one of the best part of our meal. Hot and fluffy with apple butter for them on the side. If you get a chance to stop in you won't be disappointed!! Easy access right off 460. Local family owned and operated!

This restaurant is AMAZING & Beautiful... Food was sooo good & plentiful.. omg the best homemade biscuits since my mom's.. a scenic outside deck you can eat and take pictures and family owned we will definitely be back !!!

Delicious food, served family style. We had the over baked chicken and pork ribs. The sides and dessert were also delicious: green beans, mashed potatoes, baked apples and grandma-style Mac and cheese. The only thing I would have liked was real butter for the rolls

This is our favorite spot. It took us 2 years of driving past it and we finally stopped in and now it’s our top consideration for eating out. The price we pay for 2 people is the same if not less than most other places, except the meal comes with tea, biscuits, your table picks 2 entrees, 5 sides and each person picks a dessert (slight up charge for certain entrees or additional entrees). Oh, and most entrees and all the sides are basically all you can eat while available. They offer a great variety. The ribs and Mac n cheese are our favorite, oh but wait until you try the biscuits and spiced apples! The bbq can be a little over saucy at times but it’s still delicious. Our toddler loves all the options. This place is family run and family style, just how we like it.

This place is amazing! Family owned, family run and family style food! Everything was fresh, hot and reminded me of my grandmother's cooking. If you are going to or heading through Lynchburg, this is a must! Rick and his daughter Brooke took great care of my family. ANDY, we really need this restaurant in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area! Make your Dad extra proud!

So glad we decided to stop in today. I've heard about this place for years and we were able to stop today on the way home from Roanoke.

Locals, do not sleep on this place. Great food, great service, amazing people. Enjoyed chatting with the owners. Hopefully they will convince Andy to open a second one in Hampton Roads. We would be there often, something like that is needed around here.

My family was there the night Eddy Coolbeth was there. They had children running around and left the place a mess around the high chair. He was rude and argumentative with the server because he didn’t understand the pricing that was clearly stated on the menu. He couldn’t have NOT seen it. He doesn’t mention in his review that he was given a refund of almost a third of his bill. As far as the condition of the restaurant, we didn’t see anything like it. It’s not the restaurants fault that he didn’t understand but they went out of their way to solve the problem and he still went and wrote a bad review. Don’t believe him.

This charming restaurant is a hidden gem! The food was delicious and reasonable! Everyone was very, very friendly and the view from the dining area was very peaceful. Great place for dinner, banquets or receptions.
We will definitely be back!

I wish this had been on my list a long time ago. We went last night for the first time ever and it was wonderful. Everything was seasoned perfectly and hot. Way too much, but well worth the price. We paid less here for ribs and chicken than we have for burgers and fries. Please go visit

We ordered takeout for our anniversary and the food was amazing! The corn pudding and mac and cheese were phenomenal! The beef tenderloin and fried flounder were superb! Even the iced tea was tasty. It was ready on time and packaged conveniently. We are looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

Amazing service and food. My daughter and I took a chance at trying this place before attending a play. We didn’t expect much but was thoroughly surprised and happy with what we got. This is a hidden (in plain sight) gem. We’ll be back.
