Special Kudos to Kayla and Dana in the bakery for turning a bad situation around. They agreed to make me a last, spur of the moment birthday cake for a co-worker. We had someone make her a homemade cake that was an absolute disgust, so these ladies came to my rescue and made us a cake that would blow your socks off.. Thank you ladies you guys are awesome.

This is the fancy Food Lion. The one that us hidden, that is closer to Lynchburg is called the ghetto food lion, and that one has better prices. There is a third, Long-standing food dog in the town of Amherst, beside Subway and a small DMV.
So, this FL is a large store, with a separate, cold produce section. It's a good store and they get you out quick. Large beer selection.

I am so thankful for the curbside pickup service. The staff is always so friendly. I'm always grocery shopping for myself, and also my Dad and sister that are homebound. This has been such a huge help to me and I greatly appreciate the service and staff. You do a great job and keep up the good work! 💗🙏🙌

This Food Lion caries their off brand stuff, made with REAL ingredients! Has great sales and always has several lines going to make things move quicker! Also, if you hate self checkouts Food Lion doesn't have them, so that's also a plus!

Nice clean and well stocked store.

Ordered a birthday cake here and it was great! The design was perfect for a 6yr Dino party. The chocolate cake was prepared well, not dry at all. The whole store staff is very friendly and they have a loyalty program.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Beer prices are pretty good. My brand has been on sale for 2 months now. Other things are comparable to Kroger Walmart is cheaper. Other than that they do not have a self checkout. However they usually have no less than 2 registers open at one time. They definitely have someone cleaning all the surfaces for COVID you see thwm as soon as you walk in the door. They do not require you to wear a mask.

Clean and tidy with helpful staff. Appears to be recently remodeled. Good selection of items, well-lit and easy to navigate. Bathrooms are a better option than Sheetz for travelers, being both larger and cleaner.

The Foodlion-Amelon Square is a great place to shop. They have a nice produce section, love getting my fruits and vegetables there. Everyone that works there is so nice - the cashiers, the delli, the meat dept, the dairy. They are always smiling and willing to help. The prices are reasonable and there is plenty of parking. Every Wednesday they change their variety sale items - which is also great.
