El Rulas Tacos

This is a counter service type of restaurant with good food and good service.

Had their tacos, tostada, chicken tamal, and quesadilla. All were very good. The steak is not tough nor greasy.

Bottle Beer is a little expensive, but food is on par with other area restaurants. I like the vibe of this place: families and workers gather for an evening meal. Lots of chatter. It's a great little spot!

Recently had some delicious tacos at this place! I really recommend trying one of the foods with Chorizo.

Tacos and the rest of the food was reasonably priced. You have to order upfront but they will take it to your seats :).

It was a Saturday afternoon and we waited no more than 5 minutes for a serving of two’s worth of food.

If you’re in the Manassas area, this is a great place to consider eating tacos. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating inside as well. The staff were really friendly as well.

My best friend and I frequent El Rula's quite frequently and this place phenomenal! We usually get the tacos to go and they are still wonderfully crispy by the time we get back home, and the consume is delectable.

If you have ever been to Guadalajara, you now this place hit the spot. The condiments of their dishes took me back in time. Nice comfy atmosphere, good price. I have to try the Birria. That will be the ultimate test!

Once again astonished from the service and food here. We got here at 9 when it closed but they still let us in, and they always took care of us, gave us sauces and were nice, and the music they put is amazing, the prices are fair, the food is amazing, the only item I can really discredit is there burritos which lack taste but every other food id a mouthful of rainbows. The tacos are definitely there highlight and I recommend to try those. There seasoned perfectly and are never cold or prepared wrong. Speechless

I would eat here thrice a week if it were closer to the house. Legit taco shop. You are able to see your food made to order. Can't beat the price. Tastes great. Aaaaaand...they have beer. If this place could scale itself down to Woodbridge that would be amazing.

Had the burrito Campechano. Awesomeness.

Great food and prices. Barbacoa and Chorizo tacos were especially good. Order at the counter and they serve you at your table. Prompt, courteous service. We'll be back.

Delicious tacos but a little expensive, but on par with what everyone charges for a taco these days :( I would have loved to eat like 10 tacos but I had to be reasonable and get 3.
Got the birria, pastor, and carnitas and all 3 were excellent.

Wow those were some good tacos! And it’s so close to the fair grounds for such a reasonable price 🤩 all of the tacos are really tasty, and the flavor was spot on. I will come back 😆💯

My husband and I decided to eat out last night, and well, he'd been eyeing this place since we moved here about a month ago. I've been in search for an authentic taco shop, and though we found a few back towards Arlington, we have FINALLY found one literally right next door and I am in love. I lived in San Diego for 7 years, and was surrounded by some of the best Mexican food there is. I had doubts about finding anything even remotely as good when moving back east. But here I am finding El Rulas... The food is amazing, the menu is straight to the point, and the atmosphere is fantastic. I will visit often, that is for sure! Keep up the amazing work guys, you've made an amazing establishment!

The best al pastor tacos in the local area. Get the green sauce also.

Found true street tacos! Go here! Ambiance is great, food is great, service is great and prices are good!

Delicious and authentic. Order at the front and find a seat. Not good for vegetarians! We'll definitely return.

Pollo Burrito contolo was very good, filling, definitely worth the short wait. The restaurant is clean & managed well. The staff is friendly, and very helpful when asking for something extra. They play a colorful selection of music that's upbeat & not too loud. If you're impatient or in a hurry then stay away because this restaurant is laid back and chill. The food is delicious, they bring the food to your table once you've stood in line & ordered. Don't worry, you can watch the chef & sous chef prepare meals for others who ordered prior to your arrival. They are very generous in their portions, burritos to tacos are loaded; they don't skimpy on meat! So come, order a couple cervesa & chill while you wait for your meal. It's worth it!

Good authentic tacos. I've been all over Latin America and this is one of the closest I've had to what tastes authentic. I'll keep going back. Get there early though..lines out the door if you don't.

Best tacos in VA, I have looked for tacos all over the DMV and this is the place. It’s like being home

The authenticity of the place is awesome. I do not know if the lack of sour cream and guacamole on the sides of tacos is a part of the Guadalajara style, but it made a great difference. Much thanks to the salsas that were provided! The menu is expansive and there appears to be more than enough options for the average patron. Cleand and service was expeditious. I would go back if ever in the vicinity.

By far one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been too since moving from California. Great tasting carne asada and al pastor. The Torta ahogada wa a little stale, but I'm assuming it isn't ordered as often. Definitely a must go if you have the chance. And they have pork!
