Thank you to all of the staff for treating my fur babies with such compassion and kindness. My sweet boy Henley appreciates everyone’s patience as he navigates his anxiety lol. Theo said he has a big personality; he just doesn’t like to lead with it in unfamiliar situations. And Asher, well, she said she’s happy to be the confidence booster for any fur baby that needs a mentor. 🥰

We love Dr. Merrill and Team! :) all 3 of our pups go here. My senior girl Shitzu Pekingnese is 10 and has never been spayed since we got her. Many vets were afraid of her anxiety and respiratory issues every time we had a spay appointment so they turned us away due to them being nervous and uncomfortable putting her under because of the risks. I really appreciated their honesty. Then Covid happened so it’s been awhile out. We noticed a lump near her belly so we took her in for an appt. Dr. Merrill was very elaborative about her condition and how surgery would be performed to remove the lump. She also asked if we’d like to get her spayed while she’s was under we were super nervous because she’s old but we agreed to if it could lead to a healthier possibly longer life. Day of Surgery she was there for quite sometime longer than anticipated but they reassured me she did great and was in good hands. Just wanting to monitor her for a bit longer to ensure there were no issues. When she finally came home she didn’t take any pain meds at all which tells us Dr Merrill did an awesome job! She was already jumping off the couches by day 3 we had to remind her she’s not fully healed lol, it was like we had a reborn puppy! Thanks DR Merrill, Kylean (Sukis pick):) and Team! For taking such good care of our fur babies!

I've taken my animals to Renton West Vet for YEARS and have always been happy with the care my animals have received. Everyone from the receptionist, the tech, and to the vet have always been kind, considerate, knowledgeable, and helpful. I highly recommend them.
Edit: I now have a new puppy, and she had her first visit today. I was really impressed with the Puppy Care Plan they offer, and feel that the plan provides significant savings over average costs.

We had such a great visit here! We decided to come to Renton West after a really awful visit with our previous vet & it was one of the best decisions that we've ever made for our dog.

Dr. Baggett & team was attentive, patient, & really kind. Our senior cattle dog mix received excellent care during his initial visit &, most importantly, he was SUPER relaxed during his exam - zero nervousness or anxiety from him, which is always the best sign of a good vet's office!

I am so glad that we found Renton West & decided to bring our pup here for care. Highly recommended!

They take good care of our little man, Mr. Puppy. He had heart worm when we got him, and they walked us through the treatment, and he beat it on schedule, and he has been a healthy pup since. They seem very caring and friendly to us and our pup.

I’ve had my pittie babies for 14 years and had awful vets experiences at every vet I ever tried. I just assumed that was par for the course. After another not great experience I decided to switch again.
I cannot sing to the praises of Dr. Merrill and her staff more. They’re so professional and gracious and all around the best. I’ve been treated so good as well as my babies. I’ve recently adopted a bulldog and they’ve helped me make sure he’s had the best care possible. Honestly, the bedside manner, the follow up and the clear love that goes into our fur babies is so amazing I will keep coming here forever. Thanks so much Renton west!

Everyone is so sweet and caring for our pets! They helped us get our dog on diet food to control his weight and recommended a great behaviorist for our aggressive mutt. Highly recommend! Prices are very reasonable too.

Switched vets since my relocation to Renton 2 years ago and was the best decision I've ever made. If I move out of this area, I'll still come back here.
They call/email reminders for your pets of upcoming dates. They work hard to move things around so you can get last minute appointments in. All of the staff is genuinely nice and my pets don't dread this visit.
Their prices are not competitive as others in the area can be, very reasonable. Facilities are very clean and always had the best experience.

The people are very nice here. The vet was very good with my less than enthusiastic beagle. She got on the floor at her level and examined her there rather than stressing her out further. The check in area and check out area are blocked by a gate so no problem with unwanted interaction with the pets making checking out and paying smoother for me.

Best veterinary hospital ever! I have two senior dogs and a young cat that had some issues come up and Renton West always finds time to see them. Both Dr. Merrill and Dr. Lakritz are compassionate, informative and provide various options when talking about treatments or care plans. The front desk staff are always welcoming, caring and friendly. The vet techs are just as knowledgeable and personable. You can tell that everyone there simply loves animals! I have recommended them to coworkers and neighbors, they all feel the same way I do. Thank you so much for the high level of care you all have provided to my precious pets <3

All staffs are very polite every time I visit. Also the staffs pets are very lovely chilling in the office. Love the atmosphere and my dogs are taken care well. Thank you.

I would.definitely like to share my review. My puppy is a first time patient with Renton West. I spoke with Sydney. She was the receptionist who took my call. I was very concerned about my puppy’s first appointment. He was getting his nails clipped which is very traumatic on our puppy. I had phoned Sydney a few times. Sidney was extremely patient, comforting, kind and very emphatic to my situation. She never tried to downplay my situation. I truly APPRECIATE her kindness!!!!!! Thank you so much Sydney!!!!! Your AMAZING!!!!!

They are all super friendly and patient with me. My cat has some health issues so I've been in and out quite a bit. They are very respectful, I feel heard when describing what I'm seeing with my cat. Would recommend.

Every visit has been good, even when difficult. Every visit reinforces we're at the right place for the best care for our cats. I've had many vets over the years and this is the most comfortable I've ever been with the care of my fur babies. They take good care of all of us. Thank you.

I had the best experience with my first visit! All the staffs, reception, assistant, and doctors were so warm and welcoming. They answered all my questions patiently with warm smiles. The vet was responsible. I had several concerns with my kitten. She made an assessment and asked another vet there to assess again together to make sure. I loved my first visit with them and I think I'm gonna keeping going this one.

Prompt and professional. Takes good care of my cat after a stay at the pet hospital for a life threatening illness. Developed a plan for reassessing his condition.

The entire staff is fantastic. I called them in a panic about my son's dog that I am sitting. She has severe separation anxiety. The staff relayed my problem to the vet, and she helped by giving me a prescription that calmed the dog. My son has always taken his dogs there and has glowing comments about them.

This is a much over due review for Renton West!

I brought in my ten year old siamese cat, Stash, early 2019. She had a mass on her lower neck area that I had tested at Renton West with Dr. Erica. The results came back as a Spindle type trichoblastoma cell tumor of follicular origin. Dr. Erica thoroughly explained the surgery and the process to me. The front desk even called me a couple days prior to remind me of her pre-op care and then followed up with me after to make sure Stash was okay. It was scary bringing her in for surgery and I even got a little emotional while dropping her off day of surgery, but I knew that she was in excellent care.

Stash's stitching was done so well and she also took her medicine easily. For anyone that needs this type of surgery for their beloved pets, please give them a call! I included a couple photos just to show how large the mass was, the stitching afterwords, and her healed, happy, and back to her feisty feline self!

I'm new to the area and have been having a hard time finding a good vet. Happy to have found this place.

Everyone was very kind and I felt the team really had my English Bull Dog's best interest and health in mind and made him comfortable throughout the appointment. I never felt rushed and all my questions were answered.

Overall, you could really tell they cared about the animals they treat which is the most important thing.

My dog has been a patient of Renton West for about 3 years now. They were the first vet I found after relocating here from a different state and I feel so lucky to have found them. The staff is AMAZING. Always seem excited to see my dog and they treat her so kindly. The prices feel fair, especially for an urban area and I have never felt pressure, shame, etc. that I have experienced at other vets in the past. Can't recommend them enough! Would give ten stars if I could.
