I adopted a beautiful dog named Bella. The staff was very good to me, and helpful. She is learning how to take commands. Then she will learn tricks.

Rocky chose me as well as I did him a wonderful addition to my Famley I’m so grateful and he loves to ride

I have 4 kittens about 6 weeks old. The mother had them in my porch. They are healthy, friendly, clean, & litter trained. Cannot afford to keep them and want them to go to a good home.

After visiting this place multiple times and even adopting several animals from there I can confidently say the staff is doing the best they can with what they have. These animals are usually brought in or dropped off and may have existing problems the staff have not been able to address. I like to go and socalize with the cats as hopefully they will go to good homes.The adoption fees are adequately priced. If you don't like the condition of the place please consider donating than, they could always use your time and effort if you can't donate money. Building TLC requires money and I am sure they are not swimming in it.

I adopted a cat from this SPCA of Hernando location a couple of years back for my Mom who had recently been widowed and her cat dog passed away. She was so happy! They bonded immediately and are a pair today. Her name was originally Tabitha but Mom said she looked like a Susie. Thank you for all you do to help abandoned and mistreated pets!!

Best place to get Cats & Dogs, I highly Recommend going here! There staff is really friendly and helpful! Got all four of my cats from this shelter, it's totally worth the time and effort with the adoption process, all the cats are super friendly and adorable when you spend enough time with them! 😘

What an amazing experience. The amount of friendly cats was overwhelming. Just rooms full of friendly bundles of joy. The staff is great and let us do our own thing. Yes some of them we're underweight but seem to have adequate care. After picking a little female that needed some help we were taken to the office. That's when Charlie came flying at me and slid into my paperwork and into my arms. Not sure if was thanking me me for adopting a cat today or if he wanted to be the one that went. The female we took home is a total lover. Kept the staff half hour past closing but they accommodated us. Thanks again SPCA

We found the staff to be friendly & care much about the animals ❤..We adopted last week. Our new fur baby came home Sunday & fits in perfectly. Love her to pieces..keep up the good work guys.💕

Today i picked up my new little puppy. The staff was wonderful to my family and I. Answered all our questions. Animals seem very well taken care of. Jackie was the biggest help for us and took care of everything. I highly recommend this place if anyone wants a new addition to their family.

Everyone here loves animals and cares for them so well. They're helpful in helping match you with a good fit for adoption! They have interacted with the animals and have pretty good knowledge of each of their personalities.
By the way - they're all volunteers! I think that's amazing, because you know it's all heart driving them to do what they do.

Went yesterday to look for a cat. Jasmine helped me, and later my girlfriend and her son, showing us all the cats and kittens, and telling us about each one.

We went back today to adopt the cat I'd chosen, and the process was easy and simple.

Good people doing good things for animals.

The people were nice and friendly. They were familiar with all of the cats by name. The coats of the cats were shiny and brushed. While I found a cat I liked, my daughter was not as crazy about the cat and wanted to go elsewhere. I would go back again, and I would recommend it.

Stopped in today to purchase a large crate from the thrift shop. Even though it wasn't ready for opening day they found just what I needed. The crate was barely used and the price was outstanding! While there I veiwed the cat areas, all of them! "We need to adopt" they have many beautiful cats. I was so surprised they where so friendly!
I'm so impressed I'm going to look into volunteering with the senior cat grooming. Thank you all for your service to Hernando County.😺

Awesome place very well run. They have a very nice area for cats and dogs. The employees are knowledgeable and accommodating. I really appreciate the fact that this is a no kill shelter. I definitely would recommend adopting from here. They accept donations here, I highly recommend this organization and any help will definitely be going to a great cause. Thank you.

We recently lost our beautiful Maine Coon cat and wanted another one similiar to the sweet lover Tango was. I met "Patches" at the Humane Society Nature Coast. Patches reminded me so much of my beloved Tango that I could not stop thinking about her!!
Every time I went to see her over this past week she looked so sad, scared and depressed.
Today I brought her home, gave her some space and when possible we'd go see her, talk sweet to her and call her a good girl.To no avail. She has been terrified snd runs.

Just went to check on her and bring her food. She is finally eating. She was head butting me and just loved on me for about an hour, the very night I brought this terrified cat home!!
She's awesome & Affectionate!
