Miami Lakes Optimist Park

I have been to this park a bunch of times to see my nephew practice baseball and play games there. He has a good time there and I know he has fun doing so. The park itself is a big size with multiple baseball fields to play sports in. Very nice and friendly environment as well. Never had a problem with this park!

Love this park, beautiful and big. My daughter loved the park, glad there's no mulch, but instead a flat rubber surface. The park had a little scavenger hunt that my 4 year old absolutely loved. Also, the kids playground area is no where near the sports fields, you have to walk across the parking lot to get to it, definitely check out the map of the park prior to going! One of the best parks I've been to, ever.

Great Park for Recreational Sports, and Activities for the Kids.

Very nice ball park, clean and plenty of rooms for several teams

One of the gems of Miami Lakes. They have a beautiful kids playground surrounded by trees and fences which makes it very secure for kids. They have also tennis court, baseball, baseball courts, and you can pretty much walk/run around the park.

The playground, sitting areas and gazebos are all yellow taped, so you will not be able to enjoy those. However, the walkways and field areas are open for cycling and walking or maybe even picnicking. The children had an amazing time playing around with the iguanas and riding their bikes. It is a very peaceful and beautiful park, the lake is a huge plus. Restrooms are kept spotless and well stocked and the staff is always extremely attentive and courteous.

Park was fantastic. There were artists performing all around. Park was clean but full of small dogs but that was ok. We had fun enjoyed picnic here. Northern area of park was somewhat not cleaned but that doesn't matter a lot because people usually don't go to that side. It was all good. I will give 5 star for cleanliness.

COVID 19 Update-
On a Sunday morning around 11:30am - park is fairly empty. Parks like this that previously would have been packed with spectators and participants are now commonly vacant including this labor day weekend. Great park for the community to use with lots of fields for different sports including soccer and baseball. Nice path to walk on the outside perimeter. It was nice to see a few people up and about walking in the warm rays of Florida's Sun.

Beautiful park with amenities

Very clean park. Has more areas for baseball than anything else but also included a basketball court and a nice canal view plus an area for the kids to play. Clubhouse is very well maintained. Definitely kid friendly.

Lots of trees around and next to a lake makes it pleasant. Its not located in front of any street or road, therefore zero traffic or noise from around, rather its next to a large green area and a baseball field. Playground itself is very nice and on the larger side comparing to most.

This place is great. My husband and my son are always here for baseball so I take advantage of the nice walking path. It also has a nice stand where you can buy cafecito (coffe) and small bites. Truly a good park for baseball as they have batting cages as well.

I really like taking my son to this park. It is always clean & being that it is right on the water, there is usually a nice breeze. I've taken my son there since he was 2 & now that he's 8, this is still one of his favorites.

Great place for families to support the sport spirit of their children, very clean, good fields , playground close by to entertain the little ones if you arrive early before any game.

You can do tons of fun sport activities.You can also bring any type of pet. I always go there at 4:30-5:00pm and the sunset looks marvelous.If you go there early in the morning like around 8:00 am you can see the seagulls and the birds!!

Went for a kid birthday party. The playground is very nice next to a green space and it is at a cul de sac. The area is windy, which is perfect. No overheating.. Definitely, would come back.
