Publix Pharmacy at Lake Nona Plaza

We moved to Publix Lake Nona from
Walgreens and so glad that we did. They have always gone above and beyond to get my daughter access to her diabetes meds and CGM supplies. They are always kind and helpful and have even gone out of their way to make sure we are taking advantage of any discounts from the pharma companies. Keep it up!

I want to give Kudos to Izza Khalil, the Pharmacist in Charge of the Publix 1430 Pharmacy. He is always going the extra mile and making their pharmacy technicians better every day. I was able to continue my treatment thanks to Izza. We need more pharmacists like him. Thanks.

I was having lots of trouble with a provider calling in a prescription to the correct location. When you’re sick it’s even more frustrating than usual. The pharmacy manager went out of his way to call them for me and fill it right away. It’s little things like this that makes the difference and what customer service is all about! Thank you!

Customer service is great! Management is always on the floor working alongside the employees creating a very positive atmosphere.

Publix store great place to go and buy grocery. Clean and very organize supermarket. Good customer service and great deli.

Cashiers move quickly here unlike some other Publix stores in the nearby area. Very clean.

Every single time that I have gone there they have set the wrong expectations as to when the meds will be ready requiring multiple trips to get simple meds filled. Definitely not in line with the “Publix” experience.

I was just trying to see if they had my prescription I’m stock and the tech was so rude. I’d say I was pretty nice too. You could literally hear her rolling her eyes. Her tone was just terrible. Like I was stupid for asking if they had it.

Literally one of the most unorganized, least transparent Publix pharmacies. If your life-maintaining or life-saving medications are requested a week before you run out and you call or roll up to check on them, don't expect an answer other than "we don't have it and will send you a text message when we do." OK, so what's the delay? "We don't have it and will send you a text message when we do." This feels like an attempt to get your customers out of your hair (great approach for a pharmacy, amiright), but I presume many people are like me and will want to know more information, so it ends up having the opposite outcome. The best thing about this one is the drive-thru. Honestly, the employees look like they would rather be somewhere else too. So much for the friendly faces at Publix.

I’ve tried with this pharmacy several times. The first was a medication error that the pharmacist should have caught, when they filled the prescription. Not when I was taken to the ER after losing consciousness because of it. Don’t ask for a dropper for your child’s medicine, you may be told that “We gave you one last time”. Employees are rude especially when you ask for something extra like flavoring your child’s medicine. Hopefully there’s a better pharmacy nearby.

EDIT: Publix now will not stop harassing me by telephone about this review. Despite informing them multiple times that I am hearing impaired and can't use the phone.
They are actively and aggressively hostile to the hearing impaired.

Pharmacy is staffed by petty people thrilled with their limited power. Anxious about continued access to your anti-anxiety meds? Too bad! You can't fill a few days early! And sometimes we run out! That's great for maintaining a therapeutic level of medication in your body.
Then, when they give important vaccinations, they don't bother to write them down. Then they call hearing impaired people and demand they do the pharmacist's work for them over the phone.
Do not use this pharmacy if you do not want the staff to use every possible opportunity to exercise the pettiest of their powers to retaliate for the most minuscule of perceived slights.

The pharmacy rep was extremely rude on the phone today 7/22/22. I periodically fill my scripts there. Recently after filling my script for Linzess at CVS, it somehow got transferred to a mail order script provider. I called Publix and asked that it be transferred to them, they called me back and said that my insurance would not cover it unless it is filled at CVS, (at which point I didn’t know the script was officially transferred to Publix). When I called the mail order service they stated that it had already been transferred to Publix. I then called Publix once more and asked that it be transferred to CVS due to non coverage. The pharmacy rep became so rude, she didn’t give me an opportunity to explain the situation before raising her voice and repeating over and over that I had made the request, and that now I needed to call CVS. I informed her that she had no phone etiquette and I hung up the phone. How a pharmacy staff can be so rude is beyond my knowledge and comprehension. I felt as though I was a child being chastised.

For Lake Nona which describes itself as a medical city, this is the worst pharmacy I have had to pick up from.... the worst. They have a huge staff running around In the background and can't prescribe life saving medicine on time. They even forgot the nebulizer machine which without it I can't use three other medicines that depended on it delaying me one more day. It is a joke. Lake Nona needs to do better with pharmacies or get out of the idea that you're here to save people.... why live here ?
