La Criolla Cafe & Restaurant

Atmosphere was clean and nice with a DJ who played good music. Wait staff didn’t have much personality, however they did check up on us. You may go up to the counter to order from the buffet type area or order at your table. They offer tablets as menus, which I appreciate because it provides you with a visual of the dish. The food was favored well. They automatically include a 15% gratuity which I do not appreciate. I usually tip very well, and don’t like being forced. I find that servers slack on service and don’t feel the need to earn extra gratuity. All and all it’s a simple restaurant with a casual environment to either dine in or take out.

This was our first time eating at this restaurant. There was a variety of food to select from. We definitely got our money worth. Had to take most of it home to eat the next day. They also have a separate bakery inside the restaurant. The only downside to this restaurant is that there isn't very much space to dine in, and not everyone speaks English. But, this should not keep you from trying this restaurant. The food is delicious, and the service is great.

The PR food is amazing! Best arroz mamposteado I’ve ever had! The sangria was delicious as well! They even do karaoke on Saturday nights, loved it!

Food and presentation were good. Server was attentive. Our favorite the mofongo burger by far. Prices affordable. Food preparation time was reasonable. We observed how this location is following the cleaning and sanitizing the tables between usage. Great overall experience. ✅ seal of approval 💕 yes we will be back. Too much on the menu to try in one day 🤩

Ivana was very attentive. The arroz mamposteado with shrimp was delicious.

First time eating from here. I order a main platter dish. Grilled salmon (they forgot the mango salsa but it was ok)with rice mamposteao. Everything was really flavorful, and tasty! The only thing was, the rice they put a lot of sazón it’s way too orange. Other than that I enjoy this dish! 9/10

This was our first time in a Puerto Rican restaurant. They were kind enough to give us samples of some of the items. We enjoyed our food selection very much. The service was excellent. The portions were generous.

Take a trip to la isla PR and enjoy a great mofongo. Service was friendly and fast. All plates came out hot off the kitchen. Drinks were strong. Will definitely recommend if you are in Davenport.

Food is definitely amazing and extremely authentic. Honestly felt like home with all the food options and breakfast. The dine in location is so calm and modern to the point you can work from the table with a nice cup of coffee, which the coffee was amazing! Believe me when I say you cannot go wrong here. Definitely worth your time to eat breakfast/lunch and take you back in time to abuelas cooking. You will not be disappointed

I, along with a group of about 15 friends came to this restaurant after arriving from Boston. I was impressed with the food and the service. The appetizer we ordered was delicious. We got a small one which was a huge mistake for 4 people who were hungry. The meal was just enough food to help satisfy my hunger. And dessert was just enough to wash down my delicious meal.

My first time and it was great. My waitress was Amanda and she's awesome. The place is big, comfortable and verryyyy clean the music was good. The food was amazing the sorullitos had alot of cheese and crispy outside delicious; my daughter order papas locas and I order tostones locos omg sooo good, my hubby order mofongo con carrucho listen it was delicious. The prices are good and they work fast with the orders. Overall I love this place thinking whe we going back! I highly recommend thank you

Place is very clean, service was excellent and the wait wasn't too bad. We ordered 5 plates and all were very good, our son said the tripleta was okay.

Simply put....a....mazing. we did the Tostones Loco and Mofongo Loco. Fresh, hot.and delish. The meat was perfect.

The waitress was great. The music was fantastic.

I think we found our new spot.

We just came out of a very late dinner, me and my family. We are very grateful they served us, even when we got there 30 minutes before closing. The food was delicious too.
