My Gym

Our family joined My Gym Kent during the pandemic when it felt like no other place was taking masking and sanitizing seriously. We immediately fell in love with this My Gym Kent. The equipment is top-notch and the staff are even better. Every class is run so well and so smoothly.
We initially enrolled our 2 year old son, who has made so many friends and really grown in both his social skills and his physical abilities. We have since also enrolled our almost 7 year old son who was getting “jealous” of all the fun little brother was having at My Gym. The older kid classes are just as wonderful! He has enjoyed exploring classes he isn’t particularly gifted/experienced at, like gymnastics and hip hop, and he has been very welcomed and encouraged in those classes!
Since we have been members, the gym has become women-owned and women-operated. That’s icing on the cake!
We would wholeheartedly recommend My Gym Kent to any parent in the area. If we could give six stars, we would. We love it!

My kids love MyGym! The teachers are so kind and great with shy kids (we love Miss Bre!). We have done the parent and tot classes, beginning gymnastics, and camp. The classes are structured with some free play thrown in. It’s a great option for young kids needing to expand their social and physical development.

So much fun for the little ones! Clean environment and friendly staff. Fast paced and kept the kids attention.

We have been attending the Kent MyGym for over 3 years with kiddos ranging from 18mo-5 years. The programs have far exceeded my expectations and my children have grown in their confidence above all else. The instructors Joanne & Brie are SO amazing! They are incredibly warm and also knowledgeable regarding all aspects of child development from the physical to the emotional. You can tell they love it just as much as the kids! I highly recommend MyGym!

I recently had a birthday party got my son at My Gym. He had a blast! The kids all enjoyed the activities that Joanne and Brie had planned, and watching the two of them run around with the kids was amazing to see. I have nothing but good things to say about the two of them! Thank you guys for making his birthday special

This place is amazing. My son is slow to warm up to new people and new places, and the instructors went at his pace and completely won him over. He loves going. And I love it more and more. They keep the activities interesting, are very personable, and only hire instructors that truly enjoy working with kids. I am also pregnant with my second, and the bigger I get, the more they help me out with some of the little things to make class easier for me and more enjoyable for my son.

At the end of April we had our 5 year old's birthday party, 12 kids total, and it was a great experience. The staff was helpful through the entire event and made sure all the kids were included. I would definitely book again. (Sorry in advance for the long post, but I spent a lot of time trying to determine where to have my daughter's party and was happy with my choice. Hope this helps others)

Planning:
I didn't know how the coordination would go since the kids weren't only from our child's class and a waiver needed to be signed. The team at MyGym had a site where you can enter the info for attendees and the waiver would be sent on your behalf.

The staff also worked with us to find out what our daughter's favorite activities/games are so they could incorporate them into the day.

The time slots were also well thought out. We did not have to wait for someone to clear the space or worry about being rushed out for the next party. One of the most important items and selling points for me was that we had the place to ourselves, 12 kids, parents, and staff. This was many of our first groups event for kids outside of school or classes since COVID started, and everyone felt comfortable.

Day of:
We brought a couple of extra decorations (mainly because I over plan, but they weren't necessary. The staff had decorated with balloons and a happy birthday banner.
There were two staff members on hand, one checking temperatures and verifying attendees for waivers and the other monitoring and entertaining the kids that had arrived and we're on the gym floor.
The staff had several games and activities with and without equipment. The kids loved the fort built in the middle for hide-n-seek, Misses Fox with the puppet (two of my daughters picks), and the parachute games. They also really liked the free time right before the last activity to allow everyone to play on their favorite stations that had been used throughout the party, i.e. trampolines, rock wall, uneven bar. I thought this would separate the kids, but actually worked out for everyone because even the shyer kids were able to choose a favorite station. All of the kids there didn't know each other ahead of time, but the staff made sure everyone was included.

I think one of the nicest things was that the parents were able to sit in the lobby and watch. It was odd at first since many of us are used to always helping with things, but the staff had it covered.

Thanks MyGym for making our daughter's first birthday party since the pandemic started a memorable one for her, and an easy one for us. We can't wait until our youngest is old enough to have hers there!

My boys have been attending this gym for years now. We started my older boy when he refused to crawl or walk and would only scoot. After about three months of his class he was running.

We started my second son when he was about 7 months old. It's been fascinating to watch the difference in development between him and his brother. They are 22 months apart, but my younger boy is pretty much even with his brother in gross motor skills and is physically more daring. (A duel edged blade if I ever experienced one!) I credit this with the excellent staff and owners.

Coach Mike and Coach Courtney love their work. You can tell in how they treat the kids, the parents and their staff. They remember everyone's names - not just the kids, but the parents too, and they always have something nice to say about your kids.

The staff is ah-may-zing. They are all so warm and loving with the kids.

To date my older son is almost 4 and has been participating since he was a year old. He takes one evening class and goes to a drop off camp two days a week during the summer. During the school year, he attends preschool one day a week.

My younger is in one class a week and then they both go to the Practice and Play one night a week together. I can't wait till my little one is old enough that he can join his big brother at the parent's night out classes on the weekends or the summer camps.

The play area is clean and well maintained; you can tell they take a lot of pride in their facility. I would strongly recommend that you check them out. You can't go wrong.
I really like that they have so many options in their schedule for classes. No matter what my crazy work schedule is, there's a class that will accommodate my kids.

My son will be 1 years old on Monday and he loves this place, this is his favorite place to go. The staff is great and really involved with the children. Even though were moving further away from My Gym, me and my husband still plan on keeping our son involved at My Gym beacuse of how great it is and how much our son loves it here :).

My Gym Kent is a great place for children to learn basic developmental skills. My son is 2 1/2 and he has been enrolled in my gym since he was 9 months. It has helped him learn to interact with other children and to become more independent. The teachers are truly amazing, my son constantly asked to see Miss Courtney, Brittney, Stephanie and Miss Cassey.

I can write enough how much my 2 little girls love this place. They have earned so much and their ability to climb, count, take turns, share and balance continuously improve. It's a place where a parent can take their kids basically to a indoor park.

Great place for your little one to have some fun! Coaches are high energy, outgoing and friendly. Always feel welcome and they do an amazing job of incorporating your little one. Sing, dance and play for allnsorts of age groups. Check out a free class!

Excellent Place To Take The Kids! Amazing Indoor Gym With A Zip Line, Ball Pit, Trampoline, Rock Wall Tire Swing And So Much More. It Was Amazing! My Son Loved It. Hes Three And Could Handle The Zip Line Alone So Its Perfect For All Ages. Theres Balance Beams As Well And Slides. Really A Cool Place!

Been taking my kids to mygym for a couple years now and I would highly recommend it for a fun affordable activity. Mike and Courtney the owners are very friendly and do a good job of keeping the place clean. They have classes that practice skills (balance and coordination, grip strength, ect.) and give the kids a sense of accomplishment when they complete them, as well as practice and play (seperate from skill days) where you can just use the facility and socialize and play. All the coaches I've met are supportive of the kids and really seem to enjoy children. If you are curious it is definitely worth checking out. Also they offer day camps from time to time where you can just drop the little ones off (for an extra fee above monthly membership, but very reasonable) and get some much needed adult time. We love MyGym of Kent. We brought our older daughter here for years and got to know the woman who owns it, she is so wonderful! Now we bring our 18 month old here, as well. Highly recommend this place for kids classes.

MyGym is a fantastic place to take your little ones, let them run around, learn some things, and get a bit of exercise. I'ts also great for helping parent and child bond. They offer classes and freeplay for kids from ages 0 - young teen, and are awesome. The owner, Courtney, is an amazing person, as are all of her staff. You'll see many of the staff have been there for years, not weeks or months like a lot of other places.

Highly recommended.

My daughter loves this place! We have been going since she was 11 months old and its worth every penny! The staff is great and energetic, the facility is clean and so much fun! 10/10 always

Such a great place for a birthday party. We look forward to bringing our little one there for regular play. I admit I do not remember his name but the young man who led the party was truly great as he handled about 20 2-3 year olds with laughter and understanding.

My son absolutely loves this place. We are having his 5th birthday here. There was a little hiccup, with scheduling. But Courtney, the owner. Went above and beyond to make sure it was figured out. And to make him feel extra special.
