My mother and father shared a room at Antebellum James Burgess since about January 2022. My father passed away in September 2022. They both were happy and together, married in January 1958. Now momma is content and satisfied with her care and treatment, misses daddy a great deal, but is coherent, involved in activities, has many friends and likes the staff and is satisfied. If you visit, watch out for the grey headed lady in an electric wheelchair. She tells me when Im leaving from visiting her to drive safely home...I laugh and say dont run over anyone in that wheelchair, and laugh. If she wished to leave Antebellum for any reason, we would discuss it, and I would discourage it without a good reason, but if she wished to leave, we would leave. We could, but I am sure we will not leave. She has had kind and excellent care. She is treated with respect. Her needs and health, and happiness are the most important thing to the staff and all workers there. I love momma and she deserves the best, and I told daddy to not worry, I would take care of her. I miss daddy, and love them both, and I do not lie.

This facility is one of the BEST facility I have ever been to!! All staff truly care about their residents and they provide the best care. I have never seen staff that treat their residents and the residents family members as their family, but at the Bell they do. Home cooked meals, personalized care, they provide dignity and support to their residents and family members. The staff are very experienced and they care from the heart. The facility is nice and clean, and very well maintained. When you walk in your greeted with a smile, it just seems like home!

Hello my Name Jj I was the Maintenance Director at the bell . The Staff and especially Shana the Ed truly made this place feel like a home . I loved this place so much I donated a pool table to the Residents so they could enjoy it . Places with Baby grand pianos and 10,000$$$ Chandelier look Great But please Remember that does help you love ones in there time of need . The staff there try there best to treat your love ones with compassion. Please don’t be fooled by the bells and whistles take the time to get to know the Staff . That’s what really counts. The reason I left was to take time off due to a very bad Bone infection and three foot surgeries. That’s the only reason I stepped down. Thank you and please go visit them . I’m just a regular guy 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

When the Doctor told me I could no longer live alone, my children started looking for a place I could live. They searched the area and decided on Antebellum. After living here for 6 months, I could not be happier. The management of Antebellum is top notch and the building is in great shape. The activities keep you busy. I could not have done a better job of picking out a place to live. The other residents are friendly people and fun to be around. If you are looking for a place, I highly recommend Antebellum.

Do not put your family member in this facility if your family member has cognitive issues or needs memory care! Antebellum staff is Not trained on how to take care of residents that need extra care or cannot feed themselves! My mom had vascular dementia and got to the point that she could not feed herself and needed a soft diet. The staff would bring her food and just set it on her table and leave the room. She had different staff almost every day and no one seemed
To know the care plan or What she needed. Only on a few occasions would they actually take the time to try to feed her. My sister and I would go many days and make sure she was eating and drinking -Thank goodness for our hospice nurses that would provide Her with bathing and medications to calm Her and keep her comfortable or she would have likely not had a bath ever! At night, the facility has only 2 staff members for the whole building -yes that’s right - 2 staff members for the whole facility . I asked what happens if there is an emergency - the 2 Staff members replied that the short staffing happens all the time. This is unacceptable care and standards! Beware when placing your family here- their ads are deceiving! They take your cash, but don’t provide the care!! The pictures below are of some Of the food they brought her just a little over a week or so before momma passed - more than Once I had to tell them she could not chew!! Ridiculous! And- don’t let the facilities canned responses to this review fool you either!

This is a Very bad place to work ! Slavery is over !!! Shana and Sharon treats the staff like dirt on the ground ! Always short staff an management never helps out on the floor ! The residents starting to complain how short staff it is . I will never return to work there it makes a person looks bad by saying they was employed there ! Very bad management. Prejudice racist an evil people .

Management lacks common sense .nobody seems to know what’s going on. They will have you go through so much just to give the job to someone they know ! Don’t even waste your time!
