The guys are Fred's are exactly what you want out of a mechanic. Todd and Rodney always give me straight, honest answers and both seem very knowledgeable. Work is always done promptly and I've never had a communication issue with these guys. Would highly recommend.

Todd is a great mechanic and very friendly. Recently bought a car from the shop and he has been very accommodating with keeping it running in good working condition despite us getting into an accident. Very honest mechanic would recommend him to anyone looking for solid repairs or just a tune up. This shop has saved me time and time again while keeping me in the loop and explaining each part in detail in terms that are very understandable to a person with little to no car experience. Keep up the awsome work!

Several friends recommended Fred's when I unfortunately had a back power window breakdown, of course, on a Friday afternoon. I had called several places, even one who supposedly specialized in automotive windows and glass repairs, but they were unavailable. Most places just didn't seem interested and said, 'we don't do that type of repair work', or 'we can't get to it until later next week'.
So, I called Fred's and was prepared to be told the same as the other places. But despite their workload, they genuinely wanted to help me out! They instructed me to protect the opening from the elements, and had me bring it on Monday. Once I arrived on Monday, they moved it into the garage, and it was repaired by early Tuesday!
Then a couple of months later, the driver's auto power window failed, window down, can't close it, and this time it's 100 degrees out! I called Fred's and they said bring it right over! This time they had to order a part, so I left the car, and the next day before noon they had it fixed! Additionally, I had purchased new hydraulic lifts for my trunk, which had broken months before, and they even installed them for me!
Both times the service was superior to other places I have patronized in the past. Additionally, Todd and others are friendly and very courteous.
I am so very pleased with Fred's! I continue to recommend this place and I will not take my cars anyplace else!

Brought my 2016 Jetta S that was in a accident, In for an alignment. Before it felt like the car was pulling to the side slightly as I drove. After the alignment she feels great and havnt felt it pulling anymore. Should I have need for another alignment in the future i,Il be sure to come back to Fred's.

It is difficult as a woman to not feel like you're being talked down to and not being taken at most auto repair shops. Todd and staff tells you like it is with no frills. They always err on the side of caution with what they recommend, but I'd rather be cautious and keep my car running well beyond the 100,000 mile mark. I will always take any car I own there and recommend them without reservation to family and friends.

Todd (Owner) is one of the nicest guys you'll meet. He's extremely knowledgeable in all areas of vehicle maintenance and service. Ive been using his shop for years for all my vehicles and have never had any problems. If something doesn't work, he will figure out why and what it will cost. As well as any alternatives that may cost less.
I Highly recommend Fred's South County Auto repair for anyone new to the area or looking for a new service shop.

I've been taking my vehicles to Fred's since I purchased my first car, there's something to be said about having a repair shop you can trust they know you by name and you know they have your back. Being a customer of there's for over 10years I truly value their approach to repairs not only do they inspect your vehicle when you have it serviced they also give you advice on what repairs will be needed in the future and about how long or how many more miles you can go before taking care of the issues. They're all about preventative maintenance in order to prevent a catastrophic failure that'll have you talking to the bank. So if you need a place you can trust Fred's is definitely the shop to go to. The knowledge, the people, the equipment, are most importantly strong morals.

We found Todd and Fred's South County Auto Repair about 6 months ago, when we were having trouble with our 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder. Burring oil, making other noises. We took this car to another repair shop (a local chain here in St. Louis) and were given the run around, and told it would take so much to repair, but could never tell us what exactly was wrong. Todd at Fred's diagnosed the problem, and was quick and accurate, and told us exactly what it would need. They have stood behind their work, are kind and courteous, and really now their stuff. I have since taken my other cars, a 2006 Pontiac Solstice and 2006 Mazda 6 to them, and will continue to do so. I am now buying my tires online at Tire Rack and having them shipped to them for installation, so I don't have to deal with local tire distributors who always seem to tell me I need to spend an additional 500-1000 dollars on my cars, when I bring them in just for tires (even though I stay on top of all maintenance items required). Our family will continue to bring our vehicles to Fred's. I suggest you give them a try,

I went here to get my emissions tested and a safety inspection for titling of my car. They went out of their way and gave me extra tips and suggestions and were super helpful and respectful the whole time. Highly recommend!

First encounter with them for emergency tire repair. Took me right away. Really appreciate that.

Excellent repair shop. Mechanics are certified and well trained. Prices are reasonable but they always fix my car and never ripped me off. Can't say that for other repair shops in this area.
