UREC

Absolutely the best place to workout! I have been in numerous gyms and YMCAs and nothing compares to the UREC. The facility is phenomenal and there are always enough machines, weight stations, pools, and more to accommodate everyone.

It’s everything recreational. Rock climbing, lazy river, indoor and outdoor lap pools. The best part is the water s chilled around 68 degrees.

LSU has an amazing UREC with countless amenities/workout stations that have stayed in shockingly great shape despite the number of people passing through everyday. It can occasionally be hard to find a working locker but the staff is incredibly kind and helpful and every time I go the gym space, equipment, and lockers are clean and easy to use.

It's a really nice facility and I adore the rock wall! It's super well maintained and the smoothie king inside is incredibly well-placed!

This is what an upgrade is supposed to be. Lots of free weights, machines, nice power lifting areas. Pools are great. The running track is so much better. They did a really good job.

Most of the student staff go above and beyond, there will always be some that just see this as a quick job through college, but I try to not let that deter me from using the facility.
The facility is now incredibly spacious, and almost overwhelming. There are three floors for fitness equipment, a 1/3 of a mile track that has a mild incline and runs through two of the floors at the facility, and a remarkable locker room (with a sauna) that is connected to a just as wonderful indoor lap pool.
The only fault I could see internally is that they do not provide towels, and that, externally, parking is often limited during high traffic times. The facility hours are made for just about anyone (the early bird, the night crawler, etc.). I really enjoy this facility and the staff!

The students voted to build this gym. It's the best I've seen.

I really like working out at UREC. It's clean and the staff are constantly disinfecting the equipment and the facility! Now, if only some of the students would learn to wipe down the machine after they use it! I recommend going there earlier in the day if you can because after 3 pm it's busy!

This is one of the best gyms in the state. It has 3 floors of weight rooms, 6 full length basketball courts, boxing room, dance room, swimming pools, E-Sports game rooms and much more.

I was so excited about going to UREC way before coming to the US because we don’t have such great place to workout in my country. I love how we have everything in one place and be so pretty 😍😍

It is my second home. I absolutely enjoy this place being an avid fitness enthusiast. I think I have nearly spent one-third of my time at LSU at this world-class University Recreation. Would highly recommend everyone to visit it atleast once.

Visited from out of town on family weekend. This place is like Disneyland if you like to work out. Any kind of workout you’d ever want to do is possible here.

One of the best places on campus. And the location is in great place. Just go for running around the University Lakes then come here and do some indoor workouts along with indoor and outdoor sports facilities. It has enough services to provide all students.

Awesome place! Great badminton field.

Can get busy in the afternoons with intramural games and it being prime time. But there's everything from weights to ping pong. I enjoy coming here all the time. State of the art facilities all around.

Wonderful Rec center. Great pools- in and outdoor, clean gym, volleyball courts, kayaking, etc. All new materials and kept very clean.

Great facilities, usually fill to the brim with kids that simply like to hangout there.

Great sports complex. It is very big

This is the LSU gym. It has a lot of equipment. There are two swimming pools inside pool and outside pool. There is a lot of equipment for exercising.
