Antioch Community Church of Baton Rouge

When I just moved to Baton Rouge, I was looking for a church but overwhelmed by the number of options. So, I pulled out Google maps and chose the closest one to me. And it’s the only church I had to go to!! Antioch is one of a kind. It’s rare to find a church that is filled with people committed to living like Christ and loving each other. During worship, people walk around the sanctuary and just pray for each other. After I saw that, I knew that this was a community I wanted to be involved with

My wife and I were looking for a church that really took the idea of community to the next level. The first time we walked in we felt a genuine connection of people being real. No need to feel to put on your “church mask”. This church knows what it means to love your neighbor. Great life groups, great pastor and staff, and amazing body of Jesus. So happy to call these people my friends.

The most welcoming church family! My husband and I moved to the Baton Rouge area and were looking for a church full of worship, fellowship, and a group of people with the common goal of living out day to day life more like Christ. On my first visit, I felt genuinely welcomed and I felt like the people there really wanted to know me. Great group of multi-generational and multi-ethnic people authentically following Jesus and loving others.

Antioch BR is an amazing place, I’m so lucky to call it my home. As an international student I was longing to find a church where I could have a community and feel welcome. I found that and more at Antioch. The people there are so loving and welcoming, simply the best place to worship Jesus, live the Gospel, and meet believers.

I love this church! My life has not been the same since I started attending Antioch back in 2016. I have experienced God so powerfully at Sunday Services, and I always leave feeling encouraged. I have met so many life long friends through Tuesday night life group, and I couldn't imagine walking through life without their constant support and love. Antioch Community Church is a pivotal part of my life in Baton Rouge. It is a genuine Christian community that challenges me to love God and love others more radically, rooted in what the Bible says. Their lifegroups throughout the week are real, practical, and consistent. The Sunday morning services are full of joy and rich with fellowship. Lastly, whenever I feel doubtful or have questions about the church, I can approach staff members with confidence, knowing that I am cared for and that the Bible will be the ultimate authority! This church isn't just a place were I experience Jesus on Sunday, but through deep friendships I get to see Jesus living in and through the relationships I've made here on a daily basis. I have been a part of this church through my college years, and currently as a young adult. I am thankful that through different seasons of life I've been able to find Christians willing to walk out what being a disciple of Jesus looks like with me. Antioch is home!

I absolutely love this community of believers! I got involved with a Life Group my senior year of college, and I began to discover that there’s something special about the way this community cares and does life with each other, that has left me with a deeper revelation of what the church might look like! And I’m super grateful for that season of my life, and from it lasting friendships have been formed.

For anyone who is considering a new church to attend, I would give Antioch BR a shot, if you feel in your heart to do so, because this community really creates an atmosphere of discovering God for yourself, and allows you to do life with people who genuinely care for you.

We love the way Antioch loves and serves the world! We've found a family that shares our love for Jesus and we love living life together! Sunday mornings are full of Jesus, worship, the Word, and fellowship, but there are so many other opportunities for us to live life together- life group, special events, corporate prayer, one-on-one discipleship. So happy to be living and growing in Jesus with these people!

I love Antioch Community Church! My life has been changed by how normal the people at Antioch make a radical pursuit of Jesus feel. The genuine sense of community and family is refreshing and worship is super awesome.

Antioch Community Church provides many opportunities for people of any age to connect with others in their stage of life and grow in their faith. The friends I have made here through the years have made a huge impact on my life. I love this church's vision and mission, and how the leadership here is dedicated to helping anyone find their place to serve and be a part.

Me and my wife found Antioch after moving to BR almost two years ago. We were looking to encounter God and grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus, we were looking for family more than just community and we were looking for a church that was willing to make an impact in our city and world...and boy we found everything we were looking for and even more! Through the Sunday services we have encountered God by diving deep into His word through our lead pastor Don and our staff. Through Life Groups we have experienced family in Christ. They also offer a Discipleship School that my wife and I participated this year where we dive deeper into the Word and everything His kingdom has to offer to equip us to fulfill the Great Commission in our lifetime. I have also witnessed the impact the church has made in the community by their outreach events! To summarize, if you want to encounter God, dive deeper in Jesus and feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in your daily life, you should definitely come and be part of this family.

So, my original plan was to visit Antioch for about a month at the beginning of the year as I needed to rest from leading and find healing. I started going to Lifegroup after my first Sunday visiting and before I knew it, the first month had already passed. I was already beginning to feel that this place was becoming home to me. I was scared of that because I had another church (my parent’s church actually) that I was heavily involved in for most of my life and was still leading in. I loved that place and the people and still do but as I continued to visit Antioch I realized that God had something different in mind for me. He wanted to place me into a new community where I could rest but also be challenged in my walk with Him. These people have become another family for me (a family that I didn’t realize that I really needed in my life) and have truly pointed me to who I am in Christ. Since the beginning, they have challenged me to know Him even more than I did before. Here I am, nine months later and I am still so thankful and honored that God has lead me to a place where I can continue to grow in community with so many solid believers. No matter where I end up in life, I know that Antioch will always be a place where I can find rest, healing, and a place that will always feel like home.

Antioch is a great Bible-believing church that truly serves and cares for our community. There are lots of ways to get involved. I've made a lot of great friends here and have been inspired to see others loving people the way the Bible tells us to. I'm blessed to be part of this church

Antioch is a church all about community, loving others, and most importantly they are all about LOVING jesus. The authenticity of the people here are like no other i have experienced. Having moved here a couple months ago i was scared of not finding anyone to be in community with, but Antioch took me in as i was one of there own and i am forever grateful for the friendships ive made here and the ones that are forming. Jesus is moving and transforming lives and i am so happy to be a part of this.

I love this church! Ever since I began going to Antioch in 2014 my life has been completely changed! I've learned what it means to have an intimate relationship with Jesus and how saying yes to living a radical life really does allow me to experience the fullness of life Jesus promised us. Lifegroup and Sunday services have become the highlight of my weeks, and at both of those I experience so much authentic community!
