I took my daughter here and we had an absolute blast. I didn't realize there was a train that you can ride on around the grounds which takes you on two rounds per trip. Not all the trains can be boarded but there will be yellow handrails and stairs to indicate which ones you can get on. There are several pavilions as well that you can enter with more train related paraphernalia and gift shops. You can easily spend half a day here walking around if you wanted to take time to see everything. If you're with young kids who like to power walk the premises then it could take you a couple hours. Definitely worth visiting and I know my daughter would go back in a heartbeat.

Wow. We have known of this place for years and finally visited. I now ask myself why we waited so long? Absolutely could spend an entire day here. So much to see and interact with. Just fun for every age! We really enjoyed all the trains!

Came on a beautiful 70° day with our 6yo grandson. He loved all the trains and trolleys. Ride everything you can and climb in every available exhibit. The smiles and laughs are worth it

Good place to go for train lovers! All types of gadgets and controls for conductors and engineers of all ages to explore and so many types of trains and train cars. Nice collection of vehicles and local history and years of dashboards. Very interesting. A lot to see and do.

This was a great way to spend a morning. We learned quite a bit about different types of vehicles AND got to climb around on old locomotives. Highly recommended.

Same as with the cars, lots of cool history. A few car should use new paint, but nice to see so much in one museum.

A nicely appointed museum. Be prepared to visit many exhibits outside- bring water on a hot day. Keep an eye out for coupons for the transportation museum- we were able to get a deep discount for our family. My 4 year old loved the trains and the train ride. The staff was very friendly and patient with the toddlers. Approximately 2 to 3 hours of exhibits, but you might want to add some time for ice cream and snack stops!

We had a wonderful time taking our two boys who are one and two years old. The oldest loved the trains and the youngest seemed to be interested in the classic cars! We'll definitely be back.

We had a great time at the museum! There is so much to see, the volunteer staff were all friendly and helpful. I am not a full blown train guy but sitting in the big boy cab may of converted me into a foamer! A second trip is on my wish list to see everything I missed

For lovers of railroads and cars, this should be a must see. A bonus on our visit was the fire equipment on display. The train ride is great for kids. The staff in all areas are very knowledgeable.
