Clam Digger Restaurant

15SEPT.2023 This is my first visit here with my mate and everything was exceptional. My review is that the service was on an island time pace and they served us with a beautiful attitude and energy. The most best experience I’ve ever had. Robin who took our food order was superb and proficient. This was my experience in the Clam Digger Restaurant and I’ve traveled quite extensively and in super posh and elegant restaurants and laid back super casual restaurants abroad over the many, many years and current travel. The process here is relaxed and NOT rat race hurry up..when one understands that concept then they will appreciate the southern service experience. Until then sit back, relax, and unwind.

The Fort Macon Your Own Omelette was prepared well. The provolone cheese could’ve been melted a bit more in order to mesh with my omelette. My mates bagel 🥯 with sausage, egg 🍳, and cheese 🧀 was super delicious. Now the oil needs to be changed due to my crispy rounds or round shaped hash browns tasted disgusting of old greased that has had everything fried in it. Ketchup couldn’t even help them. Great Friday morning breakfast ever. I appreciate the cranberry juice and orange juice mix our drink server prepared for us. The juice needed a little stir in order for the flavors to blend and taste good. It had a metal taste(probably the juices came out of metal cans).Exceptional customer service experience all around.

During our stay at the Inn at Pine Knolls, we dined twice for breakfast at their on-site restaurant. Despite clearly being short-staffed, the service we received on both occasions was truly exceptional. The waitresses we had for each meal were on it – super friendly and very efficient! As a shrimp and grits enthusiast, I tend to be pretty picky about how they are prepared. Not being a super-fancy place, I didn't have high expectations for this particular restaurant. When they arrived, they appeared overly sauced, but wow, they were seasoned just right and so tasty – exceeding my expectations! My wife ordered "The Islander" and raved about the pancakes being some of the best she'd ever had. Great service and reasonable prices made our trip more enjoyable. We're already looking forward to returning and experiencing both the hotel and the restaurant once more.

The Clam Digger is the restaurant that is attached to the Inn at Pine Knoll Shores. I for one love when hotels have attached restaurants. So my son and I made sure to try this place.

If you can, try to sit in the room with the windows overlooking the beach. It's a GREAT view, even though the room itself feels empty and plain.

The service was GREAT.

I ordered a chicken sandwich, and it came with fries. The fries were the best part of the meal. They were so tasty, however the chicken sandwich wasn't lacking either. It was very very good.

The prices were also very reasonable.

We had several meals at the restaurant during our stay at the Inn at Pine Knoll shores. All of the food was fresh and well prepared. We had lunch served poolside and it was very tasty. The bartender Shawna was awesome and went above and beyond serving drinks!

The wait times can vary depending if they’re busy but to me the food was pretty good for the price. We will definitely come back when in the area.

Eat at there restaurant. Don't do take out the boxes make the food a little soggy that's my fault.

I am a hotel staff member and I frequently find myself unable to pack my own lunch. I love that we have such great food just a few steps away! I’m a creature of habit so end up ordering the same chicken dinner as always, but I love that if I ever want to switch things up I can choose either serf or terf! Maybe next time I’ll do both 😉

We loved it. They need more sweet waitress like ours. The food was in the best seafood and hush puppies I've ate in awhile. The baked potato was soft and great. The food was so good. You will get a discount of 10 percent if you stay at hotel. Kathy

Super nice spot! The ocean view seating was perfect and our waitress Barb was the BEST !! She made us feel super comfortable and very accommodated. The food was amazing as well. Hubby and I enjoyed a juicy cooked to perfection prime rib (12oz) wow so good!! and very well flavored. Shout out to the chef!!! Even tho it was a rainy and gloomy new years day, the friendly environment made it all seem better. We will be back for dinner again for sure, we highly recommend!! Not to mention breakfast aas a hit as well !!! Thanks Barb you Rock !!!!!!

The crab cakes are heavenly and they are my go-to dish each time I am there. I add buns, so I can make a crab cake sandwich. I went in during the first week residing in NC and fell in love with the staff, the atmosphere, and those crab cakes. I have been in countless times while living in the area. I have brought in friends who have always driven by, but never stepped in. They were beyond happy with the food, the atmosphere, and the drinks. They would suggest the gravy from the biscuits-n-gravy on their breakfast menu; hands down great with fries as well! Great option for hotel guests, locals, and visitors.

Amazing remodeled Clamdigger Inn, been coming here for 14 years, love it! Clean rooms, great staff, awesome food in restuarant!!

This was my second time here, each time the food was AMAZING. I got the shrimp and flounder with a baked potato. Everything was delicious. This time I was waited on by Dani, she did an amazing job at recommending food and taking care of us. I am a waitress myself, so I feel as if I am hard on my servers and she exceeded my expectations! I will definitely be back because of the impeccable service!!! Made my trip!

Excellent service and food was fast, hot, and Delicious! Owner came to table (which I love!) I can't wait to come back and try it out for breakfast too!

Please allow ample time for your order. The young lady that helped me was vibrant. Thai wings were small but very tasty. Salad was fresh. $7. For ice berg lettuce?

Just stopped for drinks because we were early for the aquarium and had an hour to kill. Barbra B. was our waitress and she was AMAZING! Definitely went above and beyond for us even though she didn't have to. We're from Michigan so I don't know if we'll be back but if we ever do come back to the island we will definitely be back see Barbra! Thanks for the amazing service!

Staff very friendly. Food excellent prepared well served hot Great portions and not overpriced have eaten here 3 times on this trip each time better than the last highly yes highly recommended we'll be going back

Super friendly, service was exceptional, especially in these times, I felt very comfortable. safe, and the food was excellent. Highly recommend! Even if you’re not on this side of Atlantic Beach it is worth the drive. Though it is in a hotel, it is worth taking a try!
