Tropea Ristorante Italiano

A piece of Italy in the PNW. Though it is in a small stip mall, the decor and atmosphere make you believe you could be sitting in a Cafe in Italy. The music is Italian as are the conversations behind the bar.
The food is high quality and delicious, with enough selection to require a tri-fold menu.
Lunch started with bread and herded olive oil, then we chose Ravioli Portabello and Penne Gorgonzola with chicken. Both were soooo good. Save some bread for the last of the sauce, it's worth every drop.
I wish we'd had room for dessert.

Was really sad when the original place burned down. Was happy to see when they reopen. The new location tried it out today and it was great. I walked in when they opened and there were already 4 large groups. There were about three servers, one hostess, and the rest were Cook staff. I ordered Manicott with Italian sausage and it was really good.

The place was crowded, a sign of a good restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was very good. I really liked the meat, it was perfectly cooked to order. This wine is really spectacular.

My wife and I were looking for a good Italian joint in Redmond and were extremely happy for stumbling on this gem. Service was great and gave the cozy Italian atmosphere. We went with the lobster special and risotto special and neither disappointed. We will definitely be back as all the dishes looked delightful!

Absolutely delicious food, easily the best Italian in the area. Small and cozy so come early!

Visited Tropea after a couple of years and it didn't disappoint. Food was excellent and service was also very good.
Was really sad when the place burned down by the fire and was happy to see it reopen.
When we went in, they seated us at a table that was near the door and we requested a table at the back next to a nice window. But after sitting there we realized that the lady sitting behind us was so loud it started to bother us and gave us a headache. We didn't know what to do and when we told our waitress, they accommodated us at a different table without any issues. Then came the food with so many vegetarian choices, we were able to choose different options and the sauces, pasta, the cheese and the ingredients were so fresh and it was like in Italy! Simply amazing. Glad to see this good place back in business!

Had a wonderful BDAY dinner there as always. Food was delicious with a nice wine list.

Soooooo good! I already want to go back and try more of their pasta! I do miss how, at their old location, their pasta had some spice to it. However, their food is still amazing!!!!

Walked in at 6 pm on a Friday night and got seated right away, which was lucky because the place was full within 10 minutes. Bread and olive oil were already on the table and both were delicious. We ordered two pasta dishes and one meat + pasta combo. Everything was delicious, and the house smoked salmon was the star of the night. Service was also fantastic, will definitely be back.

Wonderful gorgonzola pene with chicken. The ravioli portobello was excellent. Atmosphere is quiet and relaxing with excellent service all around. The strip mall where it is located is deceiving as this little gem punches WAY above its weight!

The best Shrimp fettuccine, calamari, Italian food in Redmond made fresh, the flavor and customer service is excellent. Good selection of wines 🍷 and the delicious homemade dessert and coffee ☕ is a must! Gracias Francisco

Fantastic. Pretty good dishes and super friendly stuff. My wife got a surprise desert cake for her birthday. We were so glad we picked them for her birthday dining.

Took take out first time from here. I can say one of the best Italian places. Quantity of each dish is good enough for 2 people. True Italian. Seafood Risotto and Gnocchi was so good. I can’t believe these guys made such a delicious and beautiful comeback after their entire restaurant burned down during COVID!! As a chef, I can say they have a tight team in the kitchen and great servers who put their heart into the food and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

I love this new location. Beautiful inside and some nice outdoor seating. Food is and has always been fantastic, classic Italian. Save room for the dessert. The tiramisu, cannoli, and chocolate mousse are delicious.

An extremely memorable dining experience with excellent food and splendid service. Tropea is a local treasure. We were served by Francisco, and his service was above and beyond, be sure to ask for him if you visit.

Been here about 4 times. Always a pleasure. Only took the dessert pictures. They were all very good. Server was helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are generally good. We got a good Tuscan wine too called Casamatta. The host was pretty bad though but hardly interacted with him.

This place is a gem. They have a wide range of pasta dishes. We've been coming here regularly for at least a year and it never disappoints. Service is prompt and staff are always friendly.
