Avis Car Rental

Check-in was quick because I registered on-line requested info and made reservations in advance! Return of vehicle was simply and quick, no problems at all! I would like to make others aware that Avis does put $300 hold on your debit/credit card for possible damages, but will drop the hold once the vehicle is returned with no issues!

The manager and new hire were extremely friendly. It was a bit of a maze getting inside as they were located in the airport terminal, but the customer service extended from behind the counter melted my frustration away.

I reserved a car a week earlier with another car rental service. On the day I had to leave for Gulfport from Columbus, I went to that location and was faced with a note on the door. The note stated that I had to go to their starkville branch due to covid 19. I understand that but my frustration is them not informing me before hand. Anyways I called Avis they got me set right away and I made it on time. I got to see my best friend married and I owe it to Avis car rental at the Golden Triangle Airport. Great staff, Excellent vehicle and at a price that didn't kill my budget for the trip.

Great service. I got an upgrade but dropped it to a downgrade because I wanted a car to travel distance and they worked with me. I'd use them again!

The sign says they open at 8. Thankfully, there was a number to call. They were washing cars.

The lady on the front desk was super friendly who would explain everything in detail. The car I rented had some dents and I realized it was not serviced on halfway of my trip, rest of the trip around 400 miles I was bothered with engine sound.

Won't be booking with Avis. I've used them in past for my rentals but I canceled before 24hrs and still charged $50 fee. There's free and better car rental companies. This is a horrible practice and no reason to charge $50 to cancel when other companies are not. I'll be avoiding and making sure family and friends do the same. DO NOT USE AVIS. THEY CHARGE A $50 FEE, EVEN IF YOU CANCEL 2 MINS AFTER BOOKING. If you have already booked, do not cancel or you'll lose $50. It's $50 to cancel, no matter if you cancel it 30 days, 24 hrs, 2 mins. Still $50!

Terrible experience. Went to book with the app and it showed a great deal. Prepaid and got my confirmation email. Email said prepay was only part of the charge and I would have a balance due at rental.

As this made it the same price as my normal Hertz rental, I called to ask why the price difference. No help and no explanation. I asked them to cancel the reservation. The agent said nothing about a $50 charge for cancellation (5+ days out btw). So for a 10 minute window between reservation and cancellation they want to charge $50.

Now I’ve been on hold for 20+ minutes to get my refund. Never again

The worst car rental experience I've ever had. The car we rented was in terrible shape, smelled of cigarette smoke, and the people behind the counter were unfriendly. The warning/engine light went on about an hour after we rented it, but we were too far from the airport to be able to return it. We returned it after the week in fine shape and were later accused of a windshield wiper crack that we never caused or saw. Extremely frustrating, to say the least. Avoid this place at all costs or you will pay.

Horrible, upon returning the car we had to wait 20 min because Robin was late. When she finally showed up she was very rude and very condescending. She obviously did not want to be there and either didn't want to explain anything to us, or she didn't know anything and just wanted us to feel stupid. I will say that the guy that rented me the car was nice, but Robin was horrible and I will not use avis again.

I've rented and/or dropped off a car here three times in the last couple of months - and there is NEVER anyone at the counter. I think they're just in the back napping.
