Mitchell Village Community Park

My kids and I really enjoy stopping by this park because it's always quite and has a great view. There are charcoal grills and a small pavilion to enjoy your meal under. The playground is a little old so some rust is visible but it's more for kids 4 and up. But the best part is the beach access, my kids really enjoy walking in the sand and skipping rocks.

I just absolutely love love loveeeee this little spot here!! Perfect place to bring the little ones to play at the park, maybe have a picnic and make your way down to the small beach access that's right beside it! You may want to bring some water shoes to protect your feet just incase there's a ton of shells at the shoreline!! Also be mindful of the small sign that's posted up towards the end of the beach that says PRIVATE PROPERTY.. might not want to cross that unless you want to hear from the homeowners (who like to remind the public when you're stepping across their property line onto their sand) other than that it's not a bad little spot! Locals come here often and I've been coming here with my little ones for years! Bring sand buckets, beach chairs and enjoy the view of the soundside of Atlantic, Indian Beach, Salter Path all the way down to Emerald Isle! If you're lucky you'll find sandbars that allow you to wander out further than normal but just be careful!! Have fun in the sun!! Oh, and take care of your trash!!! 🤘

This was a beautiful and quiet little park off the beaten path in Morehead City. It’s got a playground, a few picnic tables, a gazebo, and a grill. Lots of grass and water. I stopped and did some work in the gazebo in between appointments and let the stress melt away with the breeze while I took a conference call.

Be aware that there is not a parking lot—just park on the side of the road.

Very nice for families, fairly clean. I wish the kids playground was better, my kids got bored after another 10 minutes. But overall not bad

Go a few times a month to just sit in peace. Quiet and clean.
