I have been using Walmart Pharmacy for about two years now since I moved to Morehead from Newport. I've never been disappointed. They're fast and efficient. The staff is nice and informative. Last week Michelle helped me with a prescription I was confused on and I was very grateful. I will continue to use this pharmacy as long as I live in Morehead.

Nice staff and services

The petite pharmacist with long dark hair was extremely personable, professional and took time explaining the new regulations. While, the pharmacist with yellowish hair was unfriendly and dismissive.

It would be extremely helpful if Walmart would go back to normal pharmacy hours, as 9-7 is a difficult time period to work with for those of us who work during the day throughout the week. Just missed the pharmacy closing by 4 minutes and now have to wait another day for a prescription I take nightly and am now out of. I'll have to go on my lunch break tomorrow because I have to be at work before the pharmacy even opens. Half of the time my prescription isn't even ready when it should be, so who knows if it will be ready tomorrow.

Have had some problems with rude staff.

Issues almost everytime I vist.
Either them giving me a generic brand instead of what was ordered, mixing up my new insurance with my old insurance and then denying me the prescription, or telling me they are out of stock and do not know when they will restock despite being able to just order some more.

I talked to Carla about refilling my prescription around 240pm today and was met with hostility and yelling when I mentioned there is a manufacturers coupon. When I asked to talk with her supervisor about this issue I was told there was no one above her and met with yelling and was threatened with my medication not being filled.....

I had just had surgery on 4/17/2018 and went to the Morehead City Walmart pharmacy to get two prescriptions filled. I asked if my insurance took anything off the price and the short older lady said I would have to go back to the drop off area and ask them. There wasn't anyone in the pharmacy area except me and the 3 pharmacists. I walk back to the drop off area and the male worker did take my insurance card right away and checked. I have no complaints with him. I then went back to the pay area where I waited for 10 minutes for the short older lady to check me out. Not a single customer came to the pharmacy the entire time I was there. The two women workers just stood there and talked to each other while I waited. I suppose this was my "punishment" for daring to ask if my insurance covered anything. I will never use this pharmacy again.

Had a bad experience with the pharmacist who worked Saturday 9/19/20. I was told they were out of my prescription and couldn't fill till Monday so I asked if they could at least do a partial fill and id have my dr call in another rx when ran out. The pharmacist told the clerk no partials. I asked to speak with the pharmacist. The pharmacist bagged prescriptions for approximately 5 minutes before acknowledging me. I explained that this is an 8 year rx that would put me in bad withdrawals if I couldn't get it filled. She stated that as frequently as it is filled for the quantity I receive i should have enough to get me through, I stated its a 30 day rx? She then proceeded to judge and lecture me about the prescription and my dr.
She reluctantly checked on the product and said she only had 92 in stock ( my rx was for 120) I said fine I can have my dr call in a new one when it runs out?
The pharmacist, not knowing my situation, took it upon herself to be my judge and jury for my prescription. I was still shaking, upset and angry 3 hours later about the way I was treated by this pharmacist and will probably move all my rx needs to a different pharmacy because of her actions and words.
When submitting my concern to their corporate office I received a stock response of "thanks for voicing your concerns, your issues have been forwarded to the appropriate person"

Kristen, the pharmacy manager, called last week. Kristen is very customer focused, kind and understanding and the only reason i will give this pharmacy another chance.

Absolutely rude staff. The first time I went, I tried to give them the benefit of a doubt that maybe it was just a bad day for them. Unfortunately, I was incredibly wrong. The second time I went I was treated even worse and it actually triggered a literal panic attack so I ended up having to leave because I was in tears by how poorly I was treated. JUST TO PICK UP MY MEDICATION. Third time, my husband went for me because I was traumatized by the previous experience and even he hated the experience for the same reason - rude and inconsiderate staff who act like it's their greatest life burden to help you for even the simplest of things.

Asked for help locating a popular item in the pharmacy and you would have thought I asked this woman to change the tilt of the earth's axis. She seemed confused then waved her hand in a general direction and muttered something about not being able to "leave her post". When I returned after not finding the item. She suggested that perhaps it was discontinued. I immediately suggested that she call for assistance. Someone finally show up to help me. Good thing I didn't leave the store thinking item was discontinued.

Never any problems and always answer any questions . no complaints 😃
