The Jailhouse Whiskey & Cigar Bar

We got there early, had a drink and decided to eat at the bar. Canceled our reservation at Stone and ordered from the food truck (that has a more limited menu than the restaurant). Our steaks were done perfectly, and everything was delicious! The ladies behind the bar (Erin and Kayla) are exceptional! The drinks were original and refreshing! We had a great time celebrating our anniversary ❤ Would definitely recommend!

Excellent little bar featuring a huge variety of bourbons, scotch, and whiskeys. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made an awesome smoked old fashioned.

Love this place. The atmosphere is so nice and cozy, warm and friendly. Smoked angel wings I think it's called is my favorite.

My new fave place!!! I found out about this place from a friend & drove 32 mins from my home & it was DEFINITELY worth it!!! it was so good! the drinks were made from Emma (i possibly got this name wrong so sorry if i did. dark hair, glasses) she was amazing & friendly! she was the only bartender and handle the crowd so fast on her own. And the food was close to the best I’ve tasted in NC & I’ve ate at A LOT of places. the Cherry vinegarette was really good on my salad wedge i was full but kept eating lol plan to visit again. most likely today lol

This place was very welcoming on my first visit. They have a menu and Will bring the food to you. You have to place the order in the non smoking bar upstairs. The place is clean and is just what I'm looking for. The music isnt loud and from what ive seen on my first visit, folks behave themselves. I'd prefer later hours but I guess for the area that's why the hours were chosen. Me & My friends are night owls lol!! I paid for a membership a yr ($12) and am contemplating the yearly locker membership ($300). Parking is decent and wasn't pain (Monday night). We took an Uber. Gotta play responsibly 😉

The selection of whiskies alone is enough of a reason to come! Seriously there's something to drink for anyone here. The atmosphere both in the bar and cigar lounge are great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The cigar selection is modest but filled with a wonderful selection and has many different varieties! Definitely going to be coming back..

If you visit Belmont, spend a little time in Jail. Great place to try a new bourbon or your favorite drink. Checkout all the rooms, very relaxing.

Absolutely love this place. Great staff, awesome Whiskey selection and even the food is great. And no crazy expensive membership required. Perfect for everyone, regular people and hipsters!

Very cool place to grab a drink. I am a big bourbon fan and they have a good selection to choose from, either on the rocks, or as one of their signature drinks. Very laid back environment, and feels like a very comfortable place to grab a drink after work.

This is a must visit place. Super cool and unique. Drinks are fantastic and the alcohol selection is great! Bourbon fans should be happy.

Didn't eat but I saw other people and it looked good.
Not busy so had literally one to one service - and a nice chat about the space station and stars and stuff!

One of the best places I've been too. I love that I can order from the restaurant and the bar tenders are characters. I love that they remember me even when they are at their busiest. I would definitely recommend this place

Very cool little bar. They have a large selection, and I have found many hard to find brands here at reasonable prices. Motif is an old jail house and is well laid out. Food is top notch, and actually kind of cheap for the quality and style served here. They also have a cigar bar, and plenty of parking.

Great atmosphere! Aaron made such delicious drinks and was so friendly and knowledgeable about the craft cocktails. Can't wait to return!

Truly a best hidden best bar ever. Don’t expect it to be this great but surprisingly a good place. Even the food was awesome.

Delicious cocktails! The staff was so great too! Shout out to Chris for making me the best drink when I told him I wanted something spicy, fruity, and sour! It’s a spicy passion fruit margarita!

Super cozy place, the bar is on the top floor, the cigar lounge is right below. Crazy huge selection of bourbon / whisky, and talented bartenders. Can't recommend it enough!

Drinks were outstanding. Food, I had steak, was excellent! Bartenders were outstanding. Only issue was: seafood dip came out with the entrees. Otherwise one of our better dining experiences.

Unique bar concept in downtown Belmont. Erin provided good drinks and the bar had a good vibe.
