INCREDIBLE experience at the Monkey Bar. Mrs Beck is AMAZING. Cannot brag on her enough, amazing personality and delivered the best hospitality I’ve received from a restaurant. Visiting the area from Houston and they have some of the best wings I’ve EVER had. Prices are unbeatable for the end product you receive!!

So sorry if I got Becks name wrong, we were the group of 6 that were visiting from Cherry Point!

Got there at 1pm. No food at 2pm. Told it was because one of the order takes longer because there are 2 patties to be cooked. Few minutes later, was told the ticket was lost. Still no food at 2:20. Went up to the bar and no apology but curt it is coming. Finally got the food at 2:30. Curt here is your food as if we were the problem. The waitress was nice but not the manager looking lady. What a fiasco. Never again.

The wings at this eatery are the bomb. Our little waitress was awesome. Her smile lit up the room. She made the wait for our food worthwhile. The food wait time was minimal. We ate here 3 times while on a one week vacation. Excellent food, service and atmosphere.

Monkey bar and grill in Atlantic Beach North Carolina is a wonderful restaurant and bar. The wings are absolutely delicious! We like the battered wings dipped in the mild sauce which is a little sweet. It’s our favorite. They have a great variety of food from steaks to sandwiches salads and oh by the way the Greek salad is delicious! All-around wonderful place to go. Good service!

We had a great evening at the Monkey Bar and Grill tonight. Our waitress was terrific and the food was delicious!

We enjoyed beef quesadilla for our snack. Becky is an amazing bartender and is extremely personable. Fabulous venue!

First timers, thought the food was great and reasonable. But referred by regulars. Service was great waitress brought things or asked us for refills before we needed to ask. Southwest salad was huge and had great flavor. The club sandwich was about 2" inches thick with high quality meats. We will be back

I was very pleasantly surprised with this place. The service was awesome, even with a full house, and the food was top-notch. Will definitely eat here again next time I'm here.

Came here for lunch. We heard the wait staff was short today. We sure couldn't tell the service was great. the food was outstanding. The place has a homey neighborhood corner spot type of feel. Thanks for the great lunch!

Wife and I had lunch with my brother and his wife on the day after my nephew got married in the area.
Very entertaining wait staff and great food and the beer was cold!
Prices are very reasonable and would return again if I'm ever back in the area.

On vacation in the area visiting several restaurants and bars. Came across this place in a strip mall. Was not expecting too much but we were overwhelmed with the hospitality and the great attitude of all of the employees. Everyone was friendly and they looked like they actually enjoyed their jobs! On top of that we ordered the Monkey Grande Nachos to share for an appetizer and hands down this was the best order of nachos we have ever had: ground beef, onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, green olives, black.olives, jalapeños, black beans, corn, sour cream and salsa. I think the plate weighed over 5 lbs. Must see and eat if you are visiting Atlantic Beach!

Great local restaurant/bar. They do a great job of spacing out customers. Every other table is either taped off or occupied by stuffed monkeys. Some servers wear masks but again everyone is spread out pretty well. We usually get hot dogs which are excellent(!) but today I opted for the grouper bites - outstanding! They have a good selection of craft beers on tap as well. A good place to hang with the locals!

Good experience. Staff was friendly and helpful, food was solid and good atmosphere. Tuna steak burger was on point. We'll be back.

Great beers and fantastic food. The atmosphere was great for my family and the waitress catered to my 4-year-old. Can't beat that!

Staff are attentive and friendly and the food is always great! I highly recommend this restaurant when in Atlantic Beach.

Great food friendly staff. So I use to eat here off and on 15 years ago was excited to see they were still open,just as good now. A little off the beaten path which makes it Great.

This place is a treasure! We had delicious flounder, peel, and eat shrimp, crab cakes! All in the presence of very kind employees. It definitely has a neighborhood bar and grill vibe.

Stopped in for dinner with friends. Great food, wonderful salad, awesome drinks, and absolutely wonderful service! Definitely will be coming back to try more menu items. Plenty of choices.
