Subs were amazing!!!!! Hands down the best Italian sub I've had in a long time. The service was great. You could tell they actually enjoyed their jobs. Definitely will be our new normal spot.

Best subs in Carteret County, and they are always so nice and accommodating! Place was packed on Labor Day weekend, and they still took great care of everyone and got us some amazing food! The owner makes awesome beach house decorations out of old surfboards, and he is a local legend!

Delicious subs and wraps! Fresh ingredients deliver a perfect lunch. Small outdoor seating available, mostly a to go spot.

Our favorite place to stop and get lunch while at the beach. Charles even remembered us from last year! It was lovely chatting with him and eating delicious subs.

This place is a local fixture in A.B. It's a classic sub-shop, so you'll find the things that you expected to find 20-30 years ago in a sandwich place.
Perfect in its simplicity.
Perfect bread, balanced meat, and cheese combinations.
The atmosphere is nice but you're not going to hang out there with the beach right outside the door.
We got the Italian and the Turkey. Both were excellent.

Really good subs! We had a quick lunch here through the week and it was worth it. We got a Cuban and Spicy Italian and loved them both. I would definitely go here again!

I highly recommend the summer girl! it was so yummy. the staff is incredibly friendly!! indoor seating is nice especially at the table overlooking the NC State Garden. ice cream for desert!

Went there today for subs for the beach. Ordered 4 different subs and they were all delicious!!! I would suggest getting ISLAND STYLE , will definitely be back

Visiting for a week. Wanted a quick easy lunch one day and they did not disappoint. Always love hitting the local spots as opposed to chains.

Decent variety of choices. Def recommend getting it the “island way”. The extra tangy sauce and aolli made it a really tasty treat.

Very popular with the locals as they were very busy while we were there. Fast and friendly service and easy on the wallet!!!!

I have been going hear for 35 plus years.This is the place to get fresh subs.

The only thing is they are only open during tourist season. But that gives me something to look forward to. All togo but there are a couple of pick nick tables. See you there.

This place should be bigger than it is. Great subs, only open for short hours, so make sure you make plans to get there during the time they're open. Always try to get by at least once when we're in Atlantic Beach

The island fish wrap is fantastic, the outside seating is cute, I also had the iced coffee which was refreshing . The ladies working were so friendly and treated us so well. Definitely recommend to anyone by the beach!

(Also have a couple veggie options for non meat eaters)

The Cubans are super! Not the neatest sandwich to eat but totally worth it. Probably the best outside of Florida. The smoothies are good as well.

They make the best subs on the island

The subs are so fresh and amazing! The smoothie had fresh ingredients and the taste was perfect. The owner a sweet guy to talk to. We're definitely coming back to visit!

Eaten there many times. Owner is awesome and very friendly with the customers. While we were eating, the owner came out and sat with us for about 5 minutes. He is like a local historian and very interesting. Service was excellent.

A must stop!!
Quaint and quiet place. Small but fast and Fantastic Service. My better half said the Chicken wrap, "Island Style"was a 10!

We walked in mid-afternoon and they were closing early. So hungry and asked for a recommendation for a non-chain sandwich shop .. so they fed us. My only regret is I did it get a full length sub. Delicious, fresh, great service.
