Mazatlan Family Mexican Restaurant

This was the BEST Mexican food we have had in a while. This place is unassuming from the outside but was quaint and clean inside. I'm from Winston but we were in town running some errands, everything was so great. Cheese and bean dip was excellent, I ordered enchiladas and my mom ordered steak she said was very tender and flavorful, I think the dish was New Mexican Feast. Everything was so good, my mom loved the rice, I thought it was good too but the beans were phenomenal! Enchiladas were on point and the red sauce was great, can't wait for an excuse to get back out that way and patronize this spot again! Our server was great too, I didn't catch his name but he had short black hair and wore glasses, very kind and checked on us just the right amount! Will definitely be back.

Taco Tuesday is where it’s at! Salsa is about the same as every other Mexican restaurant but I ordered some guacamole and it was pretty dagon’ good. Of course just got some regular ole’ beef tacos and they were pretty good as well. The ice is off the chain. I would recommend eating here! It’s pretty tasty!!!!!!!!!!

This is me and my boyfriends favorite hide away , the owner is so sweet and will insure a great experience if anything is wrong , the staff is equally amazing they go above and beyond and we just love coming here .

Food is always good for me. I find the salsa best ever. I have tried other Mexican restaurants, and the salsa is never as good as Mazatlan. I have always wanted to ask if I can buy it by the bottle, but I do not.

Update: We went back for supper as we passed through on June 6/17/2023. The consensus (less one of our now adult kids): 4.5 stars this time. Not quite as enjoyable. The food and service were just a half step behind our visit in 2014. It was not crowded for a Saturday night. The prices were competitive. Still good, but we'll probably try another place next time.

We got tacos today after not eating any in a long time. They were absolutely delicious! They were full of all the good stuff. Great job to all the staff there. I ordered them to go and they were ready when I got there. Wonderful place to eat!

To say this is our favorite restaurant is truly an understatement! I’ve already given one review, but this place deserves one every time we come! Gloria is the best Abel is a great manager as well! Caring about the safety of your customers shows true leader ship!
