Currituck BBQ

The pulled pork bbq is very good. Its more chopped than pulled. Restaurant is clean.

Very good food. With several options of sauces that can be added to your meat there is a flavor profile to please most people's palates.

Meals are reasonably priced. My husband and I stopped in for lunch & each enjoyed a combo meal for under $20.

Now I can say that I’ve been to both locations.

Old style BBQ joint. Went with the 3 meat carnivore special. All the food groups there. Beef, chicken, pig. As a life long explorer of all things slow cooked go with the pork with vinegar. It's definitely their strength. It's the BBQ of choice in this region of the USA and they have perfected it at this restaurant. I basically saved it for last. The only thing was the hush puppies. I think they were probably cooked at too high a temperature and were too crispy for my taste.

Agreat place to go if you want a delicious BBQ brisket or pork sandwich. There coleslaw is great with if nice, sweet crunchy goodness and their okra a fantastic! Definitely finish off with their banana pudding, you won't be disappointed. The service was fast so if you're looking for a quick spot to eat, give them a try

Nice restaurant that recently opened. Great pork BBQ and sides. Quick service and friendly staff. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This trip I had the 2 meat combo, pork BBQ and beef brisket with baked beans and sweet potato casserole. All were very good. Would like to see the brisket sliced instead of chopped. Just my personal preference.

Pick 3 plate was good. $20 for everything including large drink. It's pricey but it's good. You may have to add vinegar to the pulled pork but atleast nc vinegar is an option. They have a lot of condiments is something needs a little extra kick. Hushpuppies, okra and green beans are also good. Went back to try the ribs and they were good I was just a little disappointed that they didn't have any gristle. All in all, the pulled brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich are going to be my go to. Just make sure to get extra vinegar and brisket sauce on the side. Add double okra for your sides

The Elizabeth City location is my and my husband's favorite place to go. We have never had a bad meal or experience there.

We love Currituck BBQ! The staff was so friendly and our food came out promptly - even in the middle of lunch rush. The pulled brisket is a must try!!!

Sunday Lunch. Authentic BBQ here. Pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity. Pulled pork was hot and fresh, your choice of sauces readily available. Yummy sides of mac n cheese and fried okra. Cole slaw on the side was cool and crisp, the way i like it. 4 sandwiches, two sides each, 8 hushpuppies and fountain drinks right at $40.00. Can't beat that at a fast food slop shop. Fast service even they were busy made us happy this rainy Sunday afternoon. Next trip to EC will include a stop here no doubt.

Currituck bbq has been a favorite of ours for years. The meat is always amazing, and the mac n cheese is out of this world. Both the Elizabeth City and the currituck locations offer the same quality of food.

Pretty good place for BBQ, efficient and fast service. I got the pulled brisket with burnt ends, green beans and fries. Tasty hush puppies.

Terrific BBQ, I had the shredded brisket and it was as good as I had been told - which is very good indeed. The hush puppies were maybe the best I have ever had, the flavor of the cornbread inside really came through, not just flavorless fried bread.

Service was spectacular and super professional. Called ahead to make sure they were open for dine in, terri answered the phone. Super pleasant, professional and informative. Got a very warm welcome when we went inside. Place was amazingly clean, and they were cleaning everything down to the walls when there werent any guests at the register. Crazy thing to comment on, but I've worked hospitality and that takes some dedication to be cleaning even the walls. I was pretty impressed and it raised the confidence I already had in the food quality. Ordered the half rack special for $11.99, and the portions were for sure worth it. Had coleslaw and fried okra for my sides, bf had baked beans and mac and cheese. Everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We've agreed this place definitely invites future visits!

Visited for lunch with a friend and I am expressed! BBQ sandwich was great! Can't wait to try more of their menu! Great job on that building to! I know what that building used to look like inside and wow what a difference!

Fast service. Friendly staff. Food was delicious. Husband tried the bbq chicken Pork bbq and burnt ends (brisket). I had the brisket sandwich platter. All the sides were good...mac n cheese was great. ON SUNDAYS they're open til 8. We will be back!
