I had a wonderful experience here! Dr. Stella was professional and personable and made me feel at ease. The assistant Saran was amazing and made me feel I had a friend in there looking out for me! Highly recommend!

Dr. Kretchmer is an excellent Periobontist. Not only is he caring but a comedian on the side. I visited both the Raleigh & Wake Forest location, both were phenomenal. Pleasant nice office atmosphere. The work Dr. Kretchmer did to repair my reseeding gums was remarkable. The procedure took no time and didnt hurt. Now, I have no more pain when brushing my teeth by my gum line. Thank you Dr. Kretchmer. If I ever need work done again, I am going to him.

My 13yr old daughter needed Gingivectomy surgery and the staff were great. Dr. Stella was very informative and had excellent bedside manner. Dr. Stella made sure both my daughter and I understood the procedure and aftercare. The results were amazing. I would highly recommend this office to anyone all the staff were very pleasant!

My dentist had advised me for over two year to go for a consult at Tar Heel Periodontics. Finally, I had the consult with Dr. Stella. He and his staff were very supportive and understanding of my fears. Dr. Stella never rushed me during the consult and answered all my questions. Three weeks today post-op from the 3 gum grafts, I can honestly say, it wasn't that bad. I'm so thankful for the staff and Dr. Stella's encouragement and outstanding patient care. First off. I would like to thank Dr. Michael Stella for doing an amazing job on lengthening my crown. He gave me full details before going into the surgery. I felt very confident before and after the procedure. Secondly, I want to thank all the staff for all the help and kindness shown towards me. I've been to more than my fair share of periodontal experts in the past 30 years, so after being referred to Tar Heel Periodontics by my general dentist, I feel pretty qualified to say that Dr. Stella is an exceptional professional. He had to "section" an existing bridge to remove one failing tooth, and then place an implant. His caring attitude, along with his clear explanations of each step, made the entire extraction and implant procedure an incredibly smooth one. His expertise saw me all the way through to the "finished product" with no complications and no discomfort. His associates Callie, who assisted with the procedures, and Nikki, who saw me post-op, were also first-class professionals. I'm a Tar Heel Periodontics fan for life!

I had an awesome experience with Dr. Kretchmer. He took the time to thoroughly explain what my treatment options were and to determine what option was the best for me. The most pleasurable aspect is that during and upon completion of treatment I had no pain! I would highly recommend him and his staff to assist with your periodontic and implant needs.

Dr. Stella is fantastic and the staff. He makes you feel worry free before the surgery and he loves what he does and the staff is great because the doctor sets the pace. I knew I was in good hands, because he is so experienced.

I walked into my first appointment terrified about the upcoming procedures. Dr. Kretchmer and his wonderful staff were so professional and caring that the experience was far less dreadful than I feared. The whole team really goes out of their way to help you through the entire process and provide excellent care.

A few months ago I went to my regular dentist with what iI thought was a tooth problem. However it urned out to be more serious then that and I was recommended to Tar Heels Periodontics in Wake Forest. Immediately after the examination I was treated with all the professionalism one could ask for. Dr. Michael Kretchmer put together a plan, and with some surgery corrected the problem and stabilized my gums and teeth. Discomfort was nil, and the healing was easy. I was cared for because this office cared for my health and wellbeing. I highly recommend this staff for periodontal work that might be needed.

Dr. Kretchmer is wonderful. I went in for a regular cleaning and found out I had real problems, and was sent to Dr. Kretchmer. I was seen right away for a consultation, and a week later had the proceedure. Great staff, everyone friendly, responsive and caring. I seen all the same staff at the Durham office and again at Wake Forest for the procedure which made me feel very comfortable. Thank you all!

I am a disabled combat Iraq veteran my teeth slowly started to fall apart when I came home from my deployment. I Also struggle with PTSD from my service in Iraq. I want to ask you please help me with performing a pro bono implant surgery.
