Some of if not the best bbq you will eat . I had Nachos with brisket worlds best brisket . And I had the Mess Sandwich it had smoked bologna pulled pork slaw cheese bbq sauce worlds greatest bbq/bologna sandwich and I ever had . .But the great food is not all the owner and his staff are also amazing people and willing to get you what you are craving .

I usually order the pulled smoked chicken, green beans and potato salad with a Banana pudding for dessert and I have never been disappointed. The portions are great and filling and unlike anything you can get in any restaurant in Dickson county. I would highly recommend you go to Meeks Avenue or the food truck anytime.

Found this on Google maps with 5 star reviews. I agree! In an out of the way, unexpected area is a yummy BBQ place! We thought we had the wrong road at first so when you go just keep following your GPS as you drive into a residential area. Google shows ‘dining in’ but you eat at outdoor tables that are covered. We tried the brisket and the pulled pork with loaded potato salad and coleslaw. The meat was delicious! The brisket was so tender and both were the perfect ‘smoky’ flavor. The potato salad was not your everybody has it variety and was very good. The coleslaw didn’t have a lot of dressing on it which is so much better than cabbage swimming in sugared mayonnaise. And the flavor was great. Highly recommend Otts!

Best brisket I've had outside of Texas. The thick sauce was very good, as was the white sauce. Enjoyed all the sides we tried too. Will definitely go back next time we're in the area.

We arrived back in the US from New Zealand a couple of weeks ago after two years away, and we were craving BBQ. All I can say is that if you are within 100 miles of Otts BBQ, make that detour! This is legit, this is the real deal. Wes Ott knows exactly what he is doing, and we were so glad of it! We ordered a brisket sandwich and a pulled chicken sandwich, along with some smoked mac and cheese, some coleslaw and some loaded baked potato salad. Everything was on point. Perfect. And if you top that off with a little bit of Wes' spicy BBQ sauce, then it's manna from heaven.
Not only does Wes know what he's doing, he's a really nice guy too, and we all chatted a while about driving across country in an RV. We met some of his family, and everyone couldn't have been nicer. In days where chains just seem to get bigger and bigger across the landscape and recipes become more formulaic, Otts BBQ is a refreshing change. So skip the endless list of franchise eateries along the interstate, and take the four mile (yep, only four miles) drive from I40 to get yourself some real food. This place is family owned and run, veteran owned and run, and 100% on the money. You will thank yourself for visiting, and I'm sure Wes and his family will be appreciative too. Thanks Wes, you're a gentleman Sir, and I applaud your talents with that smoker!

Moved away from Dickson area for a while. Slowly relocating back to area. Trying to get back into the lifestyles of a rural area. Decided to drop in and support an old freind business. I'm not much for leaving reviews, but hands down, made the top of my list. As far as pulled pork I've had the pleasure to consume. I tried their sauces prior to ever being in business, but it was on previously prepared food, by other people. It was amazing then. But I hits on a whole new level, when the sauce is on the food, they prepared. That's when the marriage of flavor, is at its finest. I highly recommend.

Wonderful food and staff! We got the pulled pork tonight. Great flavor, and sides were real good! The sides we tried were the loaded backed potato salad, green beans, and baked beans. All delicious. Can't wait to try the ribs and brisket in the near future!

This place has great old school smoked meats! Today was our first visit but we will be back! The menu is simple yet complete. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Tried some of the new menu items today and they were so good!! One of my favorite family owned businesses and the best BBQ in town!!

Our typically picky 7yr old slammed half a rack of ribs to her self! Everything we ordered was delicious. The only issue we had was that they were not open for orders when we had to leave early the next day. This place is a must if you want quality BBQ.

This place was teeny tiny! It's also a bit off the beaten path, so be careful not to pass it on your way.
We got a little bit of everything when we went here - a chicken sandwich, a sampling of brisket, pulled pork, loaded potato salad (my favorite), baked beans and banana pudding. There is a good selection of sauces that are spicy, vinegar based, or mayo based. Our favorite was their white Hinky Tonk sauce, which paired well with the juicy smoked chicken and the tender brisket or pork.
I scarfed my food before I could get any decent pictures (as usual).

Brisket is delicious, I’m also very fond of the potato salad and the smoked macaroni and cheese. Honestly I haven’t tried anything that I didn’t love. Not to mention very friendly service. I would highly recommend trying it out if given a chance!!!

We happened on this place and I tell you this...I'm glad we did! The burnt ends and whole chicken we got there were delicious! We also ordered loaded potato salad and enjoyed every bite.
This is a must try for all!
