River Terrace

Recently I was in the town of Columbia, TN on business and ate at the River Terrace Restaurant. The food was great and the server was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed it so much that I returned the next night with my client who remarked on how good the food and service was. He told me that he and his wife eat there often and both the food and service were consistently good. Two nights in a row tells me that the River Terrace Restaurant is consistent in high quality food and service. I would give this restaurant FIVE THUMBS UP and I plan to eat there again on my next trip to Columbia.

This place is one of the best restaurants I have been in my life. The attention is superb and the river view unbeatable. Good to go alone or with your favorite person.

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner last night at River Terrace. Celebrating New Years Eve a little early and a birthday with friends. Food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. Can't wait for dinner there again! It's our favorite restaurant in Columbia - by far!

This is where excellence meets your plate and palate! Outstanding food, service and overall quality. The restaurant is exceptionally clean, staff well-trained, and owner attentive to her patrons needs and wishes. This is an owner who truly cares!

It was our first time dining there. We were really surprised! We’ve heard about it for years and finally went on a whim. My meal was great, steak cooked perfectly. My husband is vegetarian and said his salmon florentine was delish, and I concur. He’s hard to impress and he mentioned going back the next day, he was probably thinking about the cheesecake. Staff was kind and friendly also. Wish I took pics! I will next time :)

Exceptional food and service with a great view! This was our first time here and we will return.Our steak and salmon were cooked to perfection. They also have a good selection of wines to pair with your meal. If you're looking for a more up-scale estblishment in Columbia, this is the place to go.

LOVE-LOVE-LOVE everything about this place. We recently made a trip to New Orleans and could not wait to get back home and satisfy our étouffée craving we just couldn’t find during our Nola visit! Thank you Elizabeth and team for great food and wonderful service every single time! I tried the Eggplant Orleans last night and it was the best of everything all wrapped into one dish. We have never had anything but deliciousness and warm hospitality. We are so lucky to have you right here in Muletown. Can’t wait for our next visit!

River Terrace goes above and beyond not only with the friendly, gracious service but the quality of food is by far the best you will find anywhere!
The owner takes an active role in every area of the restaurant and it is notice by the wonderful ambience and delicious flavors!
Every thing I have tried on the menu is amazing! My personal favorites are (appetizers)
the fried green tomatoes, broccoli bites, eggplant fries… (entrees) every steak is absolutely cooked to perfection and mouth watering!… the chicken piccata has literally ruined me from ever having it anywhere else, it is truly amazing from how tender the chicken is to how flavorful the sauce is..but all the entrees truly take you on such a flavor experience.. each cooked to the highest standards! (Sides) each side could have its own review alone they are so good but I appreciate the different options and how they do have the standard sides of fries and potatoes but also have acorn squash, zucchini and asparagus!.. plus many more!
The wait staff truly cares about their customers and the experience that is received. They are so knowledgeable about the menu and know how to make the most wonderful drinks!
DESSERT!!!!!! Each one is amazing… I could live off of any of them… but River Terrace has its own take on bread pudding and uses peaches and it is to die for! Mouth water to say the least! If you are wanting decadent chocolate they have a flourless chocolate torte that is so rich you will never want any other chocolate in your life!!! Unless that chocolate is in the white chocolate, raspberry mascarpone cake that the owner herself makes by hand!!

OH!! The view!! I haven’t read many reviews stating how lovely the view is! Many wildlife friends can seen perched on the windowsills or peer down at the river and count how many fish and turtles you spot!

As you can see this is my favorite restaurant and I highly recommend that you go experience all that is has to offer!!

Me and family absolutely love coming here the atmosphere is super friendly the food is amazing everyone makes it a point to make you feel comfortable do yourself a favor and visit whenever you get a chance. Did I mention the food is spectacular!!

Delightful birthday visit with my adoring husband! Amazing view above the winding Duck river at dusk. Service was impeccable and delicious dishes were prepared with loving and experienced hands. Shrimp and cheese grits for hubby and Shrimp Elizabeth for my entrée. Both were excellent in temperature and taste. Dessert choices we made were key lime pie and lemoncello cake. Simply exquisite!
Atmosphere was very special with small intimate spaces yet with great perspective from bluffs along the river. A perfect spot to take your your special someone.

I’ve had numerous meals at this fine establishment. Food and service are always top quality. Highly recommend!

Just wow! The atmosphere was very romantic and the food was so good. We sat at a table overlooking the duck river. I had tilapia and it was amazing! The bread pudding was so good too. We will definitely be back.

Ordered a simple bowl of shrimp and crawfish etouffee with no rice. Was served a bowl that was less than half full and then charged nearly $26 (including tax)??!!! The menu shows appetizer option for a bowl for $12, there is also an entree option for $21 (which would include a side?) yet I was charged more! I DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS IS OK?

Elizabeth, thank you for reaching out. If that is in fact the case then keep the money and give it to Katie. Above all else I value INTEGRITY. The food is delicious and location and service just as wonderful.

We first walked in and the manager let us know they had a small issue with the freezer and some stuff was off the menu today. Still had almost all the options and they had what I liked anyway. Had fantastic lobster ravioli STUFFED with delicious seafood and came in a bowl with a yummy soupy sauce, while my parents enjoyed their fillets for my dad’s bday dinner. The waitresses had a great family dynamic with each other.

I love this place. It is my favorite restaurant to treat myself. The food, service, staff and atmosphere are all welcoming and comfortable, with a high-end overlay.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Saturday evening here. The Views from the dining room were fantastic as was the ambience. I can see why this is rated most romantic spot ! The food was excellent. We were very hungry so ordered 3 entrees and they were all amazing. The bread pudding was quite possibly the best I've ever tried. I would highly recommend !!!

Visited on Valentine’s Day and it was such a treat! Service and food were absolutely perfect… We’ll definitely be back!

I've heard positive things about this restaurant from my friends here in Murfreesboro but unfortunately they don't take reservations for parties less than 5. It's just too far to drive and have wait when I can drive into Nashville and get a reservation for two.

The ambiance was perfect for a romantic evening. The staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. We will be back soon!
