Rex Alan Payne DDS

We have been with Dr. Payne for 29 years. He has taken excellent care of our teeth and those of our three sons, doing only what was necessary. My older sons are now married with families of their own and still go to Dr. Payne. One comes in from Wichita, Kansas to see him. There is no dentist like him - he is excellent. His office staff is equally wonderful. They know us when we walk in, know us on the phone, and take care of all insurance. They are friendly and helpful. Dr. Payne is the best dentist around with the best office staff.

I'm a chicken when it comes to dentists, and have avoided them unless absolutely necessary. Every time I went for cleanings at other dentists the news was terrible and thousands of dollars later I was ready to avoid them again. Dr. Payne was recommended to me and it has been a welcome change! He is kind, conservative on treatment, and his staff is wonderful. I no longer look for excuses to avoid regular cleanings and have complete confidence that if he recommends a procedure, it really is needed.

Been going to this office for YEARS. GREAT OFFICE. GREAT DENTIST. This dentist DOES NOT act carelessly and is the most safe conservative dentist I have ever seen. Dr. Payne does not manufacture "microscopic" cavities like a another dentist I have been to does to make their Cadillac payments. This guy is a straight shooter and I would never go to another. Even taking my child for the the first time next month. Good guy; great dentist.

I have now been here several times and I can't believe I didn't stick with Dr. Payne from the very beginning. Over the last decade that I've lived in this area I have jumped around from dentist to dentist several times. Sometimes because of insurance or a lack thereof. Sometimes I've thought, "I'll save money by going to this other dentist that has a new patient special," etc. All that to say, I have had some crazy diagnoses from some other professionals in the area. Dr. Payne, however, is down to earth and HONEST. He doesn't fabricate imaginary cavities or imaginary gum disease, etc. I have been falsely and wrongly diagnosed with both of those things at other offices. Even if he is not technically the cheapest dentist in the area, you will save hundreds of dollars because he will only treat what is truly needed. Today I went in because I felt like one of my teeth has been sore and I wanted to get it checked out. I feel like most other dentists would have "found" something. Not Dr. Payne. They took an x-ray, he examined my mouth, and he took a great deal of time to sit and explain to me that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my teeth or gums. That my tooth may just be sore because of stress or because I grind my teeth. I am going to be very sad when he retires! He is a rare find! I also wanted to give a shout out to Patrina who did my x-ray this morning. She was so sweet and helpful!

I used to see Dr. Payne when I was younger. I recently had a Groupon to another dentist in Coppell but, after visiting them, it seemed like there was a lot wrong with my teeth. They told me I had four cavities and that I needed fillings on them. I was told it was going to cost around $850 to get that done. Seeking a second opinion, I decided to see Dr. Payne. Boy am I glad I did.

Not only did Dr. Payne do a thorough exam on my teeth to give me a second opinion, he spent a good amount of time explaining why I **didn't** need to get fillings for the teeth.

From the experiences that I've had here and the experiences of my family, I can't recommend him enough. Fantastic staff and service. Thanks Dr. Payne!

I love Dr Payne! He's one of the best dentist I have ever had. I recommend him to anyone looking for a good dentist! He makes me smile! :)

They got me in last minute for a second opinion on a tooth another dentist was saying needed a root canal. The dental assistant was a total sweetheart and when he came in he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He found my bite was off from an earlier filling at the other office and grinded it down suggesting I give a week or so to see if the change fixes the problem before jumping to the root canal

My husbands family has been going to Dr. Payne for over 20 years. I know am a forever client. He’s quick, fun, thorough and professional. What more can you ask for?!

I drive 45 minutes away to see Rex and staff. I trust them more than any dentist to treat you right and provide the best treatment options.

Very disappointing experience and poor customer service. Came in for my child's annual check-up and wanted to sign their waiver (which I've done twice before) to waive the need for a panoramic head x-ray because I feel that it's excessive exposure to radiation. I was ok with the pictures/x-rays they take of the teeth and mouth however. They refused to accept their own waiver and insisted that my child do the panoramic X-ray too. Why provide the waiver as part of your practice's paperwork only to go and deny its use??!! Then they said the waiver was only applicable to existing customers and not new ones which is not true because both me and my daughter were new customers when they consented to the waiver. Also the 'only existing' customer condition seemed to have been created ad-hoc because it was not stated anywhere on the waiver form. Why insist on another set of x-rays if no issue was yet determined, was it to maybe get money from the insurance? They made me wait a long time to see the new dentist and when he arrived he was surly and rude and said nothing to provide a reasonable explanation for why their own waiver was ineffectual. I suggest you read up on your own paperwork. Be aware that they also charge, out of pocket, for PPE! Major waste of time. Taking my family and business elsewhere.
