Paula Huemmer: Allstate Insurance

I absolutely love Ms. Huemmer. I had moved back to Texas after living in Hawai'i for 16 years and I needed to switch my insurance of course, and nearly every other insurance company had really odd insurance coverages. I was recommended to this particular agency after finding out that they have helped out a family member of mine. After calling, I can definitely say that this All-State agency went above and beyond to help my situation, and I am definitely glad to have them as my current insurance provider.

Every time I call with a change in policy or a question about payment, they are always helpful! I would recommend this place to anyone needing renters or car insurance.

It is nice to have an actual agent to deal with. The rates are much better than others I have dealt with in the past.

possibly the worst customer experience ever, STAY AWAY.

Especially with how hot the housing market is nowadays, you should not be needing to chase and trying to get hold of your agent.

First thing first - their phone system has not been working for over a year, they never pick up when you call, only way to talk to them is to wait for them to either call you back, or get their cell phones (?!)

So we live in 2021 right? Today you can get a quote online from any insurance agency you want - I was actually doing research during after hours so I went through their portal and took the time and filled in all the information and after I spent all that time I got a message saying to contact the agency for a quote. It did give me a reference number so I was at least hoping that when I talk to the agent I would not need to go through the whole process, but, I was wrong. We ended up having to populate all the data again.

So regarding the insurance cost, I was thinking to get the best price out of Allstate because I already have another house insured with them (which I am taking out) but their price was over %10 higher than other providers and they just kept pushing and pushing that I move my auto policy to them and then I would get a discount. Guess what, even if I did move my auto insurance to Allstate, their price was still higher.

Overall - Unprofessional, not responsive and definitely not competitive in price. You have tons of options out there. Honestly, just go somewhere else. I know I am.

Allstate will not cover unless they are forced to. Many times people have to take them to court but most people can’t afford too. It’s all of Allstate and I think more people should know before they pay for insurance that will cheat you.
