Local Diner

Definitely a nice spot to visit! We went twice while we were in town. The staff is very polite and customer service was great. The food is hot and good and they offer a variety of things to choose from. The lemonade is freshly squeezed and thats a plus for me!

As truck drivers we were in the area and stopped to eat while our trailer was getting loaded. The diner was so cute and felt so comfortable. The chicken fried steak was absolutely the best I’ve ever had!! You must try it!!!!!! It was so tender and melted in my mouth perfectly with a crispy and flaky crunch!! And the staff was so friendly and courteous from the moment we walked in!! 5 stars all the way!! Great food and an amazing staff!!! Thank you!!!!

We came in from out of town and were looking for a breakfast place to eat. As soon as we walked in, the place looked retro and cool. The service we received was awesome! The servers were constantly checking on us and making sure that we had what we needed. The food was so good! I can’t express how much we loved this place. If we ever come back to Dallas, this will definitely be on our stops while in town.

This was my second visit at the Local Diner. My colleagues went there for brunch and I got seated immediately. The food and service was great.

Who doesn’t love a good meal at the diner? The decor is nostalgic and the team is quite welcoming. I arrived at 1 pm and there wasn't a wait.

I had the patty melt on rye with French fries and a root bear float. The meal was hot and fresh. The float was memorable. There's nothing like real ice cream and root beer.

Overall, a grand dining experience.

This place is so cool. It looks like a place that Guy Fieri should visit for Triple D if he hasn’t already. Step inside and it’s like going back in time by a few decades. Friendly employees and great food. I just wish it wasn’t the only time I would ever go there (we were from out of town helping to move a family member back to his hometown), but I definitely recommend it. Outstanding breakfast with pancakes as big as a hubcap! Keep up the great work!

Exemplary service from the start. Incredible menu. Not the cheapest, but worth every dime. Sausage gravy and biscuit the best ever. Perfectly not-crispy bacon. Eggs exactly as ordered. “I’ll be baaaack”

Man! We were in town for the XO Conference and found this place close to our hotel online. I’m so glad we did! This place is the best! The food and atmosphere were spot on! And Jill treated us like family from the moment we walked in. We will definitely be back!

We were a bit skeptical at first, the atmosphere is perfect for a diner, so we thought the food could be lacking, but we were wrong, everything we had from the crushed ice to the pot roast dip sandwich was perfect!! The wafflettes and sausage delicious and the eggs cooked perfectly over medium!! Coffee was great and the refills kept coming. Will definitely come again!!

Loved this place! Amazing food, god service, and nice environment. Loved the menu options reminded me of “local” diners in Jersey. The pancake I ordered was HUGE and fluffy. Loved the hash browns and the coffee. Great spot in Coppell will definitely visit again if in town again!

Absolutely incredible food! The diner was spotless and our waitress, Jill, made our morning! She made us feel like family and took incredible care of us! We will be repeat customers!

All the categories of this if I could give it a 6 star I would. No complaints at all with this place. Coffee was amazing...service top notch and the atmosphere was like you stepped back in time. Definitely coming back when in the area.

Oh my goodness this place is so yummy! My team and I were in downtown Coppell for a conference and we had one hour to grab some lunch. We were able to walk to the local diner, get lunch and even stop at George’s coffee shop before the hour was up! I had the largest fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever seen in my life and some delicious sweet potato fries. I can’t wait to find an excuse to get back to this restaurant!

I love local diner!! We used to be regulars at the location on Belt Line and were sad when they got bought out and then closed. So glad this location is open!! Great friendly service, delicious country style breakfast and lunch. I love the chicken fried steak!!! Bonus, if you're here on a Saturday, there's the great little Coppell farmer's market right outside! Great way to walk off a delicious breakfast!!

Very cute typical 50's looking diner, playing Rock'n'Roll music. I really liked it. The prices are very good and the quality of the food too. Server's came quickly and were very nice. If I come back to the area, that's will be my go-to breakfast place.

Their fluffy pancakes and biscuits keep me coming back. If you're not sure what to order the Denver Omlette and Garden Omlette are a great option. You can also add a pancake as a side instead of toast or an english muffin.

Service here is very friendly and has that "How are you hun?" feel. Because of their lovely staff and fast service, I always leave happy and full.

This was my first time at this diner. I looked up diners with home cooking in Coppell Tx and this was first on the list. Well, I went today 3/31/23 and was VERY Pleased. The diner is Super clean, rest room spectacular. I ordered the meat and egg plate. It came with 4 slices of bacon, two eggs, two slices of toast, and I got the home style potatoes. Lordy B it was delicious. Next time I go,and I will, I'll ask for my bacon to be crispy. This was a Great breakfast. Try it out you will NOT be disappointed!!! There were three ladies at the counter and they all greeted me with a smile and said good morning!!! I LOVE Great food, But, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE gets me all the time!!! Keep that smile on your face Ladies!!! They serve, Breakfast, brunch and dinner. They open at 6:30am. My wait for my fresh hot food was not long at all. Lord's will I will be going back, especially to try one of the shakes, yummmmmmy!!! Be Blessed

I went again this morning and the atmosphere was awesome, smiles, greeting customers, receiving orders all with a genuine smile and never did I have repeat my order. Food was SUPPER DELISH!!! $16.00 wasn't bad for two eggs with cheese, 4strips of bacon, 2 slices of toast, and hash browns. Go give them a try. Next time it will be lunch. Be back soon. Service was wonderful. This diner is set up on a corner, 50's diner vibes, windows all the way around the tree lined building. Food and shakes are delicious 🤤. My new favorite breakfast spot.

I have been visiting coppell Diner for over three years now I am a very loyal customer. They know my order anytime I call they have it ready when I get there. Very clean establishment. Great customer service. The owner is very friendly five star rating all the way go check them out.

First time here and I haven't been in such a fun, clean and delicious diner in...ever maybe? Cute storefront (looks like a small town, western shop) but inside it's 50's diner and retro and yet still modern. The wait on a Sunday noon for 2 was a couple of minutes. The greeter, hostess and waitress were very fast and nice. The food came out in maybe 10 minutes. Loved the menu options, and can't wait to try most of them! I had the breakfast country fried steak with eggs and my husband had the french toast. They were all super delicious! My steak was well (pounded) and not greasy or stringy. Delicious eggs. The french toast was awesome. As an avid cook, I am sure they soaked the bread overnight (or at least think they did) to achieve that level of softness and flavor. CANT WAIT TO COME BACK!! Oh and prices were great!
