It's very respectful to anyone's love one's and it is a place that sees death as a journey to a wonderful next life. Made me appreciate living so much more.

Even though it's now surrounded by neighborhoods, it's still a peaceful setting. Well kept grounds, and some lots still available.

I heard on Facebook that this cemetery is haunted nickname of the grave is called the witches grave some lady that's buried name Barbara Snyder she died in 1911 and the cemetery is said to be cursed by the hexes and it's also said that you'll hear strange noise like voices and whistles and cold breezes in the summer and if you visit it leave a coin on Snyder grave to appease her spirit

Everything disappears from my mom’s grave! Simple flowers in the stone vase…gone! Others have tons of things all over the headstone and no ones bothers them. I don’t understand why someone would take things from a headstone?!?!?

My baby is buried here and even when following the contract regarding decor, our stuff still gets taken from his gravesite.
The cemetery sent out cemetery wide notices 4 years ago to notify everyone they had until a certain date to remove noncompliant decor otherwise it would be removed and trashed. Since then, no notices have been sent and our compliant decor has still been removed.

This is ridiculous, whether with or without notice, having items placed on the graves of loved ones being removed is the most disrespectful thing that can happen. We had a heart decorated with flowers at my uncles grave and all of that is gone ! For over 16 years my uncle has been buried in this cemetery and there was no problem with us leaving flowers and decorations on his grave and now policies have changed all of a sudden? This should be a place where people are allowed to go to and mourn and place items in respect to those we have lost. This “new policy” is ridiculous and idiotic. If we want to leave things in respect to those who we have lost we should be allowed to.

Schmitt Funeral Home is a s…box organization. My father has been buried here at Katy Magnolia Cemetery for over 20 years and they have given the lawn guy license to desecrate all the graves. This includes destroying established flower beds that are well tended, personal items of deceased loved one, religious items, flowers left in stone vases that are attached to the headstones or on the ground leaning on headstones, all garden pot decorative hooks, solar garden lights, etc. Not only that but also approaches you while you are standing over your loved ones grave and hollers and chastises you for braking some recently made up rule. Which by the way is to allow him to whip in and out of the headstones on his riding lawnmower at the speed of light. Super respectful! (Slow clap) He also cuts the grass so incredibly short so the grass dies. This cemetery used to be lovely now it is dry dead dust bowl. The management did this to appease one cheap lawn maintenance guy.

My dad is buried here. They will take items placed on graves and throw them away. I have noticed that benches that were there are now gone. Whatever policy change they put in place here does not work for the grieving.

On behalf of a friend:
This organization trashed my friends, baby girl’s grave. They took all the items that loved ones had place in the grave in respect to her and throw it in the trash. This is disgraceful!
You are suppose to be the place of comfort, not this. Until policies are changed or an apology is given to her family I will not be changing my review and sharing this information with others.

Absolutely horrible. When my items went missing I called to see if I had broken any policy. I do not like to assume the worse. I have a voicemail on May 22, 2020 that nobody at the facility would remove items and I need to contact Katy Police to notify them. I made a policy report due to the voicemail that I recieved. It was not until today when a relative stumbled onto a post on Facebook stating the facility did in fact throw the items away due to policy. When I called today they said we should have received a letter from them giving notice. We did not. The fact that I have a voicemail saying I need to make a police report because no one would do that is unsettling.

Awful what the Secret board members and so called caregivers have done to the place we ho to mourn our loss. Warning, bury your loved ines elsewhere.
