Everything my wife and I ordered was excellent! It has been a while since I've been to a restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with the food and they pulled it off. Go and enjoy this place today!

Delicious food every time we come here. I ordered the BBQ Trio appetizer and it was more than enough. Atmosphere is not too loud. Waitstaff came around frequently to check on us. Our drinks were never empty.

Such a fun experience with really good food. I definitely recommend the ribs! The burnt end were perfect. The grilled chicken salad was pretty tasty, especially with their ranch dressing! The service was impeccable too! The atmosphere is fun and family friendly!

This places atmosphere is amazing!! From the rustic equipment to the saloon style bar, this place has it all from history. The food is another outstanding achievement!! The jalapeño cheddar sausage is a perfect mixture of bold, spicy, and sweet. The Smoked turkey juicy and with a wonderful smoke flavor. The chicken fried steak was so tender and flavorful! And last but certainly not least the service was amazing! If you want good ol Texas food this is the best darn place around!!

If you want a restaurant that's not a chain, has great food and service, go check out Prairie House Restaurant. The building was the Lewisville Feed Mill for 124 years, and the restaurant has kept the charm and history of the mill by utilizing the building and fixtures as part of the decor. We will definitely be back. Also, they have a great outdoor patio area that is pet friendly.

Rustic decor and upscale home eating, this place has a lot to offer. Their happy hour is surprisingly good as well. $5 Old Fashions, among other options. There is also lots of indoor and outdoor space. Great place for families who have a diverse preferences in where to go to dinner.

We attended the Prairie House for a graduation dinner. There’s a bar with daily happy hour. A room for private dining and outdoor seating under a beautiful pecan tree.

The staff was attentive and friendly! The catfish and friend green beans were an excellent choice. Great country style cooking!

Best prime rib , steak and ribs that we have found in the lewisville/Flower mound area. The prices are reasonable for the area, however I have paid a lot more for lesser quality food. Excellent selection of wine and beer.
The service has been excellent every time we have eaten there. Tonight they have live music playing. Great atmosphere.

So this place is GORGEOUS! The whole decor theme is executed so very well! From outside to inside, just lovely! It scores extra points for us because one of the rusty old tractors outside is made by a brand called Oliver and that just happens to be the name of our son, so extra photo ops and photos were snagged with it. The food was great and portions were large for the prices! Our server was stretched thin but she did her best keeping up with refills and getting the food out to us. Can’t wait to go again!

I ordered the 8oz steak with a baked potato and green beans at The Prairie House Restaurant in Lewisville. Let me tell you, the green beans were incredible - just like the ones grandma used to make...and if your grandma never made them like this, you were cheated. The steak was cooked to perfection and the potato was also excellent.

The restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere and the food was fantastic. It's the perfect spot to have a great dinner with a friend.

I just love the relaxed ambiance of Prairie House. A former feed store redecorated with items from the past. It's beautifully done.

Our orders were cooked to perfection with the best seasonings and flavors. When you think of these meals, they do them right.

I don’t know how I could have overlooked this awesome restaurant for so many years living less than 5 miles down the road and residing in Flower Mound for over 20 years. I have visited many retailers and restaurants in old town Lewisville, but have never had the opportunity to eat at this awesome restaurant. The service was phenomenal as well as the food. I had the chicken fried steak and it was fresh and cooked just the way I like it I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys a good steak or delicious homemade comfort food.

I recently discovered this place, and wanted to stop by for lunch. I came in for lunch and I was told about a chicken fried ribeye. I also got the brisket burnt ends for my appetizer. The chicken fried ribeye isn't on their actual menu, but if you request it, they will serve it to you. They did, and my goodness gracious it was outstanding. It's 16 oz. breaded and fried perfectly, and the steak cut like butter. I also got gravy for the steak on the side, bacon white mac n' cheese and mashed taters for my 2 sides. I hear all the time about the best chicken fried steaks in DFW, and I cannot belive this one is never mentioned. Hopefully word gets out that they make one of the best chicken fried steaks in all of Texas. Just make sure you ask your server for the chicken fried RIBEYE and not their regular chicken fried steak. I'm gonna go back to try their other menu items very soon!

Thank you so much for making my daughter”s graduation a special evening. Everything was perfect! Everyone in our party of 13 felt well taken care of, food was incredible, and we just loved having our own private party room. We definitely will be back when we return to North Texas! Thank you again!

I don't remember the waiter's name but his service was amazing. Foods taste good and good amount. I would like to come back with my family again.

We hosted our company Christmas Party (27 people) at Prairie House. Their customer service prior to our event AND that evening was wonderful! The staff was very attentive and kind. The food was perfect for our guests! Thank you to the entire team at Prairie House!

We loved almost everything about Prairie House!

What was great... cornbread (with actual corn), it was warm and moist and delicious.

The food, ample portions. I had a salmon salad with a ginger glaze that was to die for. No dressing needed but I did have a taste of the balsamic for the sake of this review... also delicious.

The hubs had chicken fried steak that was as big as his head, seriously! He chose fried green beans and mashed potatoes. I tried a bite of steak. I'm not a red meat eater but this tasted lean with no greasy after taste. The green beans did not disappoint.

The happy hour pricing on drinks was fair, but I've gotten more for my money at other establishments. The drinks themselves were ok. I had a skinny margarita and and an amaretto sour. The hubs had a jalapeño gimlet. I'll go back for the food but will probably stick with water to drink.

Our waiter, Noe, was fantastic. We felt well taken care of and the manager stopped by the table to check in as well.

All in all, a great experience.

Excellent on every level. Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening with very good food, service and even live music. I highly recommend you go and enjoy!

Let's start out by saying my first trip here was dismal. I ordered chicken fried steak and got chicken and the service was slow like molasses in January. Today (10-11-22) this changed. I finally got my chicken fried steak. Now for 35 years I have sought out the best from Galveston to Oklahoma City. Even at some of the smallest of Mom & Pop restaurants you have never been in and honestly this IS the best there is. (The chicken fried chicken is good to.) Get the mashed taters and fries. Yeah I know 2 starches. So what!? Between them get the fries to dip in the gravy. Ask for extra gravy.
This time thanks to Dustin the service time was spot on. Quite attentive enough without hovering. He'll probably know if you need something before you do.
So 5 star. Excellent over all .
