MacDaddy's Family Kitchen

This might be my favorite place to eat in Port Aransas! I love a place with a menu that's simple with great tasting food, and this place has both. The BBQ is really good. I had the pork ribs, brisket, and the sausage, and all three were smoked to perfection and very tender.
The tots were crisp, and the mac n cheese and plenty of flavor! There is a gift and novelty section if you want to pick up a tee shirt or other cool stuff they have.
The bar is pretty basic, but has you covered on about anything you could ask for. There is plenty of spacious seating inside and outside and for this area, the parking is pretty good too.

Food is awesome. Always start off with the nachos with pulled pork and brisket. Add jalapenos if you like it a little spicy. I always add the spicy sauce also! The fish is amazing! Loved it! Portion sizes are so much that I have yet to try the pecan pie for dessert, but I really want to !

The food was amazing. My husband had the chicken wings. He was surprised to see them on the menu and our server said they smoke the wings, then fry them and add the sauce. They were delicious. I had the brisket and the ribs with mac & cheese and brussels sprouts. The meat was so tender. I think the brussels sprouts could’ve used a little more cooking time, but they were still good. We also took home a piece of mixed berry and peach cobbler with ice cream. They were large servings. Large enough that I ate on it for two days. Our server was Abby and she was very friendly. We will be back no doubt!!!

We are on the Margarita Madness Trail. Josh made us a great Hot and Prickly Margarita. The Chili Tots went well with the margarita. I would have that margarita again. It was really good.

We went there for dinner as my husband wanted to try barbecue. It was an amazing place. The restaurant is in a very good location and has plenty of parking space. The restaurant was so comfortable and so cool inside and a break from the really hot sun. They have a beautiful patio seating but we chose inside because we were sweaty and hot. I had lemonade for drink and it was really refreshing. For dinner my husband had the turkey barbecue with side of jalapeño cream corn and Mac and cheese. He is said it was really good. For vegetarians they only have a house salad which is a really good portion size. You could also order from their sides. The waiter (Damien) was so informative and I was so surprised he knew so much about vegetarianism. He helped me to chose a good side. I ended up choosing coleslaw. Even though they didn’t have many vegetarian options I didn’t mind because they were not judgemental and helped me chose the correct meal. My husband said it’s really good barbecue and said it’s best in the island.

They also have desserts like cobbler and pie.

Definitely stop by there if you love barbecue.

Food and service was great. It was not even a long wait like I expected with it being Spring break. My kids didnt care for the brisket just because it was very fatty but everything else was very good. I would recommend the fish and shrimp. Even the fried shrimp was tasty. Will definitely be back.

We had an amazing experience. We went with 6 people and there was plenty of room and seats. The bathrooms were in excellent condition and were very clean. The staff was nice and service was fast. We purchased ice cream cones and used the self serve ice cream machine which we really enjoyed. Our server Troy made our experience even better because of his hospitality. Troy was very quick to bring our drinks and food and was overall amazing.

Great BBQ place for the family or friends. The food was very reasonable for the quality. The shrimp and potato salad were great!!! Brisket and turkey were very nice. Great kid options and the beer selection is very good. We had leftovers for a couple meals. Must go

Nice casual dining. Not only do they allow dogs on the patio, they bring out a water bowl (I saw from my neighbors).
Excellent service. Nice selection of draft beer.
My MacDaddy burger was to die for. A beef patty plus pulled pork, plus other stuff. Great fries also.

Very nice place. I am no brisket connoisseur but it was pretty tasty. The brussel sprouts and broccoli were also surprisingly very good. Cheesy chili tater tots were also VERY yummy.

Max and cheese was good. Basically everything we had was tasty. Brussel sprouts need to be cooked in some butter and seasoned.

The food is not frozen prepared food . It's all freshly made.

First time visiting here. Friendly staff. I ordered the turkey sandwich. Large portion. I left off the bun and enjoyed it. Had side salad, it too was large. My husband had the fried chicken which he enjoyed. Nice visit. No wait(Monday 2p).

Our waitress was very attentive. Food was delicious. It was a beautiful evening for eating on the porch. The grilled fish of the day was the Mahi Mahi. Very delicious! The fried chicken is the bomb. The brisket was so good! The Mac n cheese is fabulous and would love a big bowl of it. The shrimp was fab!

Excellent food, turf and/or surf. Indoor & outdoor seating. Alot of energy in the air. Great service, good food, regular and spicy BBQ sauce on table, do not have to ask for any condiments or napkins!

The Parmesean crusted fish was delicious! Best seafood I've ever had. My father enjoyed the brisket burger as well.

In our first time with The Scarlet Lady Dolphin (2022) Adventures, we received a coupon, so we tried the place. Definitely, my favorite was the fried chicken plate. The portion was great. Since that visit, we came back once again this year from Eagle Pass and guess what? The same taste 😋 👌

Great lunch experience! Turkey, pulled pork, and sausage were all very good. The jalapeño creamed corn and chili cheese tater tots were both very tasty. The "spicy" bbq sauce isn't really all that spicy but regardless is very good. Definitely a perfect sauce for the meats. And the wings... The smoked wings with lemon pepper were basically perfect. Their ranch was even good, tasted homemade and not bottled. All around just a great experience and my wife and I are already looking forward to going back. 👍

Great food and atmosphere. It's nice family friendly BBQ restaurant. The food we ordered was great: BBQ nachos, pulled pork sandwhich, sliced beef sandwich and curly fries. The Mac and cheese was a little dry but still good. Prices are a little expensive but not unreasonable. My order with a brisket sandwich, fries and water was $16. But so good. Our server was fast, friendly and awesome. Her name is Farrah, I think. Awesome job! It got busy fast. We showed up at 11 when they opened and it wasn't 5 minutes and almost every table was full. Also ordered a pecan pie to take home. It was pricy but pretty big. Can't wait.
